hi all
im just really excited because im going to the ohio renn fest tomorrow. its supposed to be a cool, but dry day, and i had a custom tudor style dress made that im going to get to wear. its highland theme weekend, so i get to see all the lovely guys in their kilts, and im just sooooo excited! :dancy: this is one of the highlights of my year. no where else can i actually order my very own turky leg....yummy, and get to see jousting and spend WAY too much money on prettys.

I'm so jealous! I don't even know if there's any Ren Faires around here. I miss King Richard's Faire. We'd go every year when we lived in RI. It was in Mass. Any fellow Memphians know where I can find a Ren Faire around here? Do they even happen in this area?

Have a blast!

And for those who are ready to thaw out this winter, our ren fest is in February though March...Typically beautiful weather and much fun. Bit cool for us acclimated folks but just toasty for others. Oh, its in Arizona between Phoenix and Tucson. Woot..... :)

Someday I want to get down there to see the Arizona Ren Fest. But for now I'm off to work at the face painter's booth at our small local festival. Decided to wear my white petticoat, black skirt, black blouse, blue corset and black boots. I dunno why, guess it's just that kind of day. Tomorrow I'll wear something a bit brighter.

Have fun this weekend. HUZZAH !

Cool!!

I just love how our faire season here happens when it's a HUNDRED degrees... I'd love to wear a beautiful cloak and faire in the Autumn and Winter, but NO...

I wanna gooooo! I miss going to Renn Faires! Ever since moving to Northern California (the REAL N. CA, not San Fransisco which is more like central CA), I haven't been to one because people just don't hold them up here. Nearest one I've heard of is 6 hours drive away (in San Fransisco or Sacramento). WAAAAANH!

Oooh Oooh!!! You totally rock! Thanks for finding that for me! I'd definitely meet up with you all next year! I love this sort of thing.

i understand how you feel, kentucky doesnt actually have its own renn faire, i have to drive 3 and a half hours in ohio to go.....but its so awesome there that i dont mind the ride. i think that six hours would be a bit excessive though to.

There's the No.Cal Pleasure Faire in Vacaville. The girls and I went up for that one once. I think I've been grounded from Vacaville though, I was a very naughty pirate, LOLOL...

What is it about men in kilts? :woot:

That's pretty much the one 6ish hours from me that I was talking about. Do you know when that is BTW? If I were to go, I'd have to make a weekend of it since I'm not about to drive 12 hours in 1 day to go to a Renn Faire for a couple of hours.

He's close enough to go by our standard of driving. Fort Huachuca is about 60 miles from Tucson and the Ren fair is just up the road a piece..or two.

there is one held down the street from me every year the weekend around samhain. i was in it last year. however i hurt my self while in the battle by jumping in to a muddy ditch. so this year i am on crutches. it really blows cause i want to go but i dont want to have to walk around on them all day. and it is not a good place for a wheel chair. and money is an issue as well. that friday night i will be at the witches ball. i think i will try to attend even though i wont beable to buy any thing (it wont be the first time i have gone to that fair with absolutly no money)
