Asking?

I've just got a question, in a lot of posts, people talk about asking their deities questions and talking to them, i was just wondering how do you do that? do you astrally project to meet them or do you meet them in dreams or something else?

You can do all that, or of course, just pray...
Not wishing to seem a smart arse, but there really aren't any rules, there isn't a right way of doing things - it depends a great deal upon the situation, and the diety / individual relationship.
You can ask for guidance through divinatory techniques, or omens that might be significant to you, just pick something that feels right for the moment, and go with it.
(Of course, none of these methods assume that the reply will be to your liking, or that you'll pick up on it, or even that you'll get one).

Everyone can talk to their Dieties.
Some pray, some talk casually, some write, some just think (as opposed to saying it). There is also meditaitons, dreams and other such places were people talk to, get guidance from and even meet their's. There isn't one way or a right way. There are many ways and it all depends on you, the Diety and the relationship. When I talked to mine before, I was really causual-- it was like talking to a person next to me. That worked for me, others may like to be more formal. I know someone on here that just writes everything out. It's limitless.
As for recieving a reply the key is to listen and be aware and ready. You won't get anything even if they are replying if you are blocked and not listening.
Divination is not required. People do use various forms to get guidance. Just talking and asking is a great way.
Some can Astral project, but not everyone. I can't as far as I know. But if you can than that could be a method. If you can't, don't worry about it, there are other ways.

I generally light some insence and a candle at my altar and say...

"So, Brigid... I'm having a really hard time with my creative process right now, and I have homework that's due in the morning. If you could help me out with this, I'd really appreciate it. Here is some of your favorite insence for you!"

Or.. walking down the street I'll just talk to Them... Yes, makes me look nuts, but I don't really care. I also feel that i can think at them. It's not like they dont' know what's going on in there!!! lol

Yes...There are many ways.

As far as I've experienced, I've seen "signs" just in my supposedly mundane life, and I've have countless influences on my dreams, I'm sure. I've also had a chance to invite One to a ritual once; She even sat next to me, which I find to be a great honour.

Astral projection is definitely something used, as is meditation. Divination can be a good way to ask for advice and whatnot.

Depends on what you're comfortable with and whatever feels right between yourself and the Divine involved.
