Scott Cunningham lists Cloth of Gold as an herb for familiar magic but I can find surprisingly little about it anywhere, at the library or on the web.
Has anyone actually ever seen it? Can you tell me about it?

Do you mean Achillea filipendulina? Or another one with the same folk/common name
it quite a common plant -related to yarrow

Maybe this can help?

I don't know much about it, but I think it helps understanding the animal language

Loads of plants/herbs share the same common/folk name -where does scott orignate from? (Sorry not a fan of his so know little about him) as that will probably tell you which he meant

Brenda's 2nd link ties in with mine -so we did both come up with the same plant as well as different ones

But if it's listed for familiar magic it's probably the crocus something one, because yarrow is more used for protection if I remember correcly

yarrow can be used for protection or familars - as in the wild it is used for both
