Try to look at it this way. I have heard that a lot of people who got student loans have less than minimum wage purchasing power when they take into account how much of their pay has to go for paying off student loans and it takes years to pay them off.

So, instead of getting a lot of debt, get a second job and use it to pay cash as you go so that when you do graduate you are not thousands and thousands of dollars in debt. Make a long term plan. Work two jobs a year. Go to school a year. Variety is good. Sure, it will take longer but in the end and you have a good paying job, what's yours is yours!

You for sure wouldn't be the first person who worked their way through school, not by a long shot!

Another thing you can do is get a job at the college. At most schools, if you get ANY job what-so-ever there you get free tuition! That means take any job at all there no matter what it is. You can get promoted or transfered into a better one.

If you don't, eight years from now you will still be eight years older but with no degree.

If you want it badly enough, you WILL make it happen!

As soon as my roomie's gone, you got a hole to crash into... my home is not nice, it's dirty because of his cats, and there's not much food or comfiness, but we're working on that. If you're close enough, we can probably figure a way to get ya here. We also have a university in town so you can eventually continue with your education... it's kind of a general university, not super-artsy or super-sciency, but it'll help :)
