I have a few pieces of fabric that I use for a particular purpose.
This fabric works well and looks good, but the problem is I dont know where I could find any more of it and my own supply right now is dwindling.
I have two pictures of the material itself and of the card that came stapled to the fabric when I recieved it. The name of the fabric is Lantana Plain, the edges of the fabric fray very easily (And is nearly impossible to stich with a machine) and the fabric is heaver and thicker than denim.
Any ideas of what it could be or if theres a substitute thats easier to hem to prevent the whole mess from unraveling?

it looks like the material that my mom's canopies are made out of... i'll go ask her if she knows of a similar material...
now, i don't know what you plan on using this stuff for, but she said to look at a hardware store for something called "shade cloth"... that might be something to look for...

try asking at the local fabric store they might be able to help you out.. if it is fraying badly try using a little glue right on the edges to stop it..

Why not give them a ring? They probably do a mail order service (most places do) and if not they can at least advise you what it's generic name is :)

The number is disconnected, there is a stamp on the fabric card from 1985 so I would assume that means that the company is kaput

i googled the company name, and came up with a listing for them in an online yellow pages type thing... the phone number matches the one in your picture though, so who knows... it looks like they are still in business, but who knows... i can't seem to find anything when i search for that particular fabric, either...

From my research it is a type of plant catepillars chew on and creates cotton? Something to that extent. The bottom of the tag says 100% cotton so I am wondering if it's the type of weave.
