That Osama Bin Ladin might have a weopan of mass destruction. For instance, several "fuel Rods" are missing from the millstone power plant, in CT. And other nuclear power plants across the country.

Meanwhile, the CIA is warning us to remain vigilant throughout the Holiday season...and that the next terror attack on the US would be of "Significant" nature. Sigh.

I don't think that we will ever feel safe again. Part of me, I guess, was hoping that when the war in Afghanistan was done, I'd feel safe again. But..here it is, almost over, no more real targets to hit..and we're not a step closer to "getting" Bin Ladin. Then, once we DO get Bin Ladin, we have to worry about all the people who are going to try to "avenge" him.

Plus, we're being drawn further into this Israeli/Palestinian issue...

Will we ever feel safe again?

I know what you mean about not ever really feeling safe again. But it has gotten better, at least for me.

Just a question, where did you read or hear about the missing rods? Everything I have read so far says that they have only found notes of how to make dirty bombs and a story of a al Qaeda person who had a container that he claimed to be radioactive materials but was unconfirmed (and that took place last year I believe). I am not discounting what you heard, but hoping that maybe it was hearsay and will make you feel better.

Hang in there.

:)

Chryssi, it was on Hardball with Chris Matthews, on MSNBC (or is it CNBC), last night.

Worrying about things that aren't under your control is irrational.

So, my advice to you is, well, be more rational!

I know, that's easier for men than it is for women, but it's not impossible.

Well that's sort of what I was thinking. In one breath we complain that people didn't let their kids go out at Halloween due to fear from attacks, and in the next we keep bringing up theories and urban legends of the "next" attacks. If you've been on a plane since this happened you'd have some idea the magnitude of security right now (I say this living with a guy who had his bags x-rayed and was followed around security personnel with guns at the airport basically because he's such a big guy).

We could die in an hour for some inexplicable reason, so worrying about it to me, is just wasting time that could be spent enjoying life and loving family and friends.

It's still a scarry though. Very much so. I just try to push those thoughts of mass-destruction to the back of my mind. I don't thing worrying does a thing to help here, but it's hard not too...

i must admit i was pretty freaked out at first but then i realized i should keep enjoying my life while i can. as hard as it may be at times not to, it really dosn't help to worry.

We're all worm food in the long run anyway. No sense in getting all tied up in knots when death is going to catch up with us sooner or later.

Fear is what the terrorists want to instill on each of us. To be frank, I won't be scared. It'll take up way too much time. I've got things to do.

Thats a good point. They're terrorists, after all.
