i've tried aura gazing several times, and i get a weird result. i can see a glow around stuff pretty easily, but i don't get colors. it's like everything goes to black and white, the glow looks kinda silvery. anybody else have this happen?

The Key word there was "silvery". That is the Etheric body, and it extends about one half inch around the body. It is the lowest (vibrationally speaking) segment of the aura, and always the first thing people see when learning to view auras. This takes practice & time to get good at. Many people who are good at reading auras, usually don't see them in their minds with color. Instead they percieve the layers of mental, emotional, & Spiritual development directly, without translating those things into colors in their minds at all.

i've never heard anybody explain that the etheric body should appear silvery. *heads off to go googling*

Sometimes people also see the Etheric body as a greyish blue.

I get the exact same results whenever I try to see auras. It's kinda put off trying anymore.

So... these auras are visible to the eye? In what light? What other physical things are done to train the eye this way?

i just gaze at something like i'm looking at one of those 3d pictures... you know how you try to look through it instead of at it? and keep looking until everything loses focus and goes all glowy. but i don't get colors. i guess i'm going to keep practicing, because i'm just drawn to it.

I get the exact same results whenever I try to see auras. It's kinda put off trying anymore.I've been using the information I pick up from people's auras for several decades now. It's very useful to know when people are telling the truth, or hiding some personal agenda. Also gauging people's moods, lets you know what sort of subject to bring up in a conversation. I hardly ever see people's aura colors, unless I have a lot of time to look. Usually that only happens when I'm giving someone a massage treatment, especially since I'm looking for medical information in the patient.
