Mend My Heart

Dear Lord and Lady
I beseech you now
please make clear to me my heart
My heart is still
In His keep.
He has nothing i truly desire
And yet is all I desire.
He loves me not
Or so he says and shows,
Forever more.
Though once he said
that was how long he would love
And to forget it if He said contrary.
Now, try as I might to put those vows we made and
the words we spoke to rest
I cannot.
His assurance that his contrary words..
would never really be the end
Keep me wishing and hoping.

Please.. Lord and Lady
Help my heart to find an end
and Mend.
