Well, the newer ones aren't called "trailers" anymore, they're "manufactured housing".
We looked at quite a few before buying this one. It's a single wide, three bedroom, two bath, 16 feet wide and 76 feet long. It was certainly top of the line when it was built 13 years ago, and it's still pretty damn nice. It's bigger and nicer than the house I lived in for the 23 years of my marriage and raising my daughter. So don't call me "trailer trash". :T

Manufactured house --- which means it was built in sections in a factory and shipped by truck to our land. The neighbors were quite startled to see two halves of a house sitting in our driveway before it was installed!

Ok I live in an old converted coach house. My kitchen is where they used to keep the coaches, my living room is where they kept the horses and I sleep in the hay loft :D

Mobile home..aka..trailer.
Its old..30 years. Its metal. Its a box. 2 Bedroom. 14 x 70
But its paid for and its home!!
At least we dont have the worries like a mortgage payment!
My SO was layed off a lot over the years and we always had the security of having a roof over our heads!!
And a lot of people do think of people in trailers as trailer trash, at least in our town!! I have been looked down upon because of answering the question...what do you live in?
But when I see the many forclosures going on in our town...I feel good for living in a trailer! :)
My taxes are 108 dollars a year!! The taxes in town for single homes start at 2k per year for the dumps!
I'd like a farm but thats a long way off!

I own an apartment style condominium. I am very lucky; it is very affordable and I couldn't buy it now for no way, no how the prices have gone up sooo high. And for my next place I would gladly take a manufactured house... so many of them are amazing!

I have-- or rather my parents have-- #1: a house.
It's a one story, foundation built [as in not manufactured], with 3 bedrooms and 2 baths and other things.

I've seen some VERY nice manufactured homes(trailers lol). Heck many I've seen beat the pants off of normal homes. Anyways, I live in a 3 bedroom, 2 1/2 bath house.

I live in a little flat. It used to be a bookies (betting shop) but was converted into two flats. It's quite an old brick building and it's really sweet. It's got one bedroom and a separate dining room which is posh! Still getting my stuff together to make it beautiful.

i live in a very small 1 bedroom apt with my boyfreind and my cat. along with 30 years of accumulated crap that use to fit in my parents 4 bedroom house. (no i didnt fill the whole house)
while we are still liveing here i have banned the possiblity of another animal (unless there is a major need for some ones pet to be housed and it has no where else to go) for the only reason that the cat i have now is a total instigator and will teach the new kitty bad bad things and tear up the place. by him self he is a good boy but give him a freind and whoa.

3 br. house (converted garage), no basement, 1 bathroom. With my fiance and myself both working full time, we can afford to live comfortably while picking away at bills one little bit at a time. We have two delinquent roomies, one who is okay, and the other is a retard we're gonna probably kick out next month. His cats have ruined the carpet and made my home disgusting, not to mention he is exceptionally rude, uncaring, and aggressive.
Oh yeah, the house. It's decent, and we have a shed out back. We found this after much magickal reaching out for hope during a dark time, and got a great deal... an old couple who owns this isn't going to be around much longer, so they're letting us rent it out for a steepish price. They WERE gonna sell it, but DO talked them out of it... :hearteyes
We're gonna get a loan and buy this thing. It's run down, with cracked aluminum siding, an ant infestation, old shag carpeting with dried-on cat feces and vomit, a tiny bathroom with a cracked toilet, and super uneven flooring in the 3rd bedroom (former garage), but it's better than living on the street. Major home improvement plans? Yeah, like, in 10 years.

Our first home is a 5 bedroom, 3 1/2 bathroom, walk-out basement and 3-car garage house. Our second home is a 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom condo in the mountains, within 15 minutes of 4 ski resorts, and less than an hour from 3 others.

House
It's a little different. We live in a flood prone area. It has a 10 ft foundation, in the foundation part is a garage and family room. The secondfloor is the living space. Being up high with lots of windows gives a beautiful veiw of the marsh, woods and river.

I'm renting a semi-detached, aka "half house".
It's 1 bedroom, 1 tiny bathroom, no front door. And I'm happy here, because dispite the crap people give me about this place, it's my home, and I got here without anyone's help.
mini-rant over. lol.

a house in a housing tract. Would rather be in the country, but can't afford the prices around here. I was lucky enough to be here during a tax break thing, so my taxes are much lower than many in the area. A good reason to stay put.

I'll go a little further on my description.
We live in a house. A house bult in a 1940's craftman / mission style. Not my first choice in my favorite style, but I couldn't pass up the deal and the beauty of it. I have pics of it at the bottom of this post.
the house style i like are the modern 50's-60's homes. "Flat" roofs, picture windows... You see alot of these modern homes on commercials now a days.
Our future home will be a fiberglass dome.
Links to the pics and the dome (in case many of you don't believe me).
Photos of the house while empty where swipped from the realtor before we moved in...

A house...3 bedrooms, bath & a half, full basement, two car garage.
The back yard is paved over, the garage needs a new roof & gutters, the kitchen, both baths, & the 'rec room' in the basement are all in desperate need of renovation.
But it's mine & it's paid for.
