I thought it would be sooo cute to make a christmas stock for my cats then make toys for them and hang them over my fire place for them on Christmas day! :D
& just now thought .. why not make one for your cards too!! especially if your giving a deck away as a gift! That would be soo cute :)

I guess you could even make one with herbs in to go with a yule log. Do you have any good Christmas herby idea's Wild?
Ive already made an oil mix of orange, cinnamon, myth and frankincense oil.

Oooh! You could make a little sachet shaped like a stocking! What about cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves, allspice & a touch of ginger? Very christmasy spices! Let me work out the proportions.

Ack! :( I knew I forgot something! I worked out the proportions & forgot what it was for. Heh! When I found my list, I thought it sounded like a great combination for Yule incense & made that instead. Smells great, though.

Happy New Year, Silver & everyone! :)
Here's my Christmas/Yule incense recipe:
1/2 tsp tragacanth gum or gum arabic
1/2 cup boiling water
1/2 tsp salt petre
Herbs Mix - Ground to a fine powder
2 tbsp cinnamon
2 tbsp cloves
1 tbsp allspice
1 tbsp mace
1 tbsp nutmeg
1 tsp ginger
1 tsp orange peel
Mix & dissolve the salt petre in boiling water. Don't do this over the stove. This should be done away from the heat source. It will start to thickened to a gelatin state. Make sure your herbs are ground to a fine powder. The finer the herbs, the smoother your incense will be. Pick out any large pieces. Add the herb mix to the salt petre mix & stir well. Shape them into small cones about 1/4 inch diameter at the base & no more than 1-1/2 inches long. Let them dry thoroughly before using. This makes a lot of cones!
Sorry, it will be too late for last Yule, but you can save this for next year.
