Welcome to the chambers of the Ibis God Djehuty, also known as Tehuti, Thoth and 'Thought'. The God of Scribes, with his wonderous lust for sciences and mathematics, the God of learning, writing and wisdom, as also many things.

Thoth was the old god of wisdom, learning, fantasy, writing, wit, speaking and inventions. He recorded and as a baboon he checked (or "adjusted") the result at the "Balance of Truth" at the court of Osiris. He wore the head of an ibis-stork and carried his writing tools, was associated with the moon (on his head), protected physicians and knew of magic. He had a part in the Myth of Osiris and was called "the Silent Being", an irony to his protection of spoken words. His festival "Lord of Heavens" was held at the New Year (c. July 20). Oh and also this can also be a place for all to discuss Djehuty/Thoth, from simple questions to experiences with Him to offerings to... well...anything! Least that's what I'd been thinking, heheh, but then I'm almost never on the same page as most. ;)

From all the things I have read and researched...that is...I have no expieriences :wah: But if I could choose my dieties he would be the top on my list for Gods ;) [I don't think we can choose though]

Thoth is a god I am very close to. He has been my mentor on this path, as well as a confident. With my studies, he has helped me along, prodding me with questions and statements.

Oh yesh He's helped me tremendously with studies. He's there whenever I'm ready to give up, asking a question or saying something that just sparks my interest in the subject and gets me motivated again. :)
He certainly is awesome! Tiger said to me once that He's almost like... a Grandfather and a best friend at the same time. From my experiences with Him, that's perdy darn close! :lol:

No, seriously, He's wicked fun. He follows me to uni sometimes. Much fun to be had in chem labs and microbiology labs, aye, Djehuty? He likes experimenting.

And, dyou know what? I was just gonna get around to making Djehuty His own little webspace thing. Wanna collaborate? He's made it clear it's not going to be all serious. It's going to be a 'fun' shrine, whatever that means. I think He just wants somewhere to play.

So, yeah, I'm offering my newly acquired angelfire page as our new Djehuty cult home. There's nothing there yet, I couldn't find the right images to make a nice banner with. I think you guys solved my problem. Mind if I use it on our site?

OK, just to let you know, I've started on the website design for the story Shadow and I are writing. I made a nice pretty banner, and there's a bit of stuff up there already.

Still working on getting the right graphics to accompany the story, so it's not up yet, but over the next few months as I finish at uni and head into summer, hopefully it'll take shape.
