I saw this crochet project (http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=56198.0) complete with pictures of an infant modelling the finished Yoda ears on another website today.
That second photo of the little one is just precious!

Mwahaha, that's just too cute. The kid's expression in the second picture says it all!
Thanks for sharing.

Oh isn't he a doll baby. Not a very happy looking one tho!
I saw this calendar the other day- Why Paint Cats. Each month it showed a cat that had been painted. Each cat had a very pissy aggravated and confused face as well.
This little guy made me think of the pissy cats and they are all saying- Why me???

The "Why Paint Cats" thing was out as a book for a while. It's a spoof of the other books, "Why Cats Paint" (and a similar one, "Why Dogs Build.")
I suspect the painted cats were done up in Photoshop rather than actual paint being put on cats. Who wants to be the one to try and wash it off? (Have you ever tried to bathe a cat?)

well, duh.
I didn't know about the book, and as the owner (ownee) in a multi-cat family... how could I even imagine a cat sticking around to get painted?
Guess the blond is showing through again. :p
And yes,I have tried to bathe a cat. Not fun!

I didn't think you were fooled... but I thought I'd bring up how they did the "painted cat" stuff in case anyone else was inspired to try it after reading this thread.
Photoshop is the way to go!
(I've had the unfortunate experience of having to bathe a cat too. It's not something to look forward to.)

Cats make interetsing kinetic soft-sculptures, but I don't think they'd hold still long enough to be painted in reality.
And yes, bathing cats is a 22-step process (put on rubber body-suit, catch cat, drag cat into bathtub, pull half-drenched cat from ceiling, replace rubber suit . . . )

TOTALLY cute hat! If I could crochet, I'd so make those, lol!
Paint a cat, huh. Nope, wouldn't even try it, lol.

Awwwww that is cute! He doesn't look to pleased though, use the force kid, and take them scratchy ears! Too bad I already got my daughter an outfit, I wanna get her a pair of those.

For anyone who hasn't gotten this year's costume done for their little one (or who just wants to make a kid's costume for playtime) check out these cute ones (http://www.brandsonsale.com/chilsizpimda.html).
Some neat ideas to borrow!

I was just passing by when i saw the title of this thread, I just want to say that 'crochet Yoda ears for your kid' has got to be one of the best thread titles I've seen so far on MW. Thank you.

Smart parents will take pictures of their beloved children wearing things like this. They make for some good blackmail material when they are teens.
