I don't practice...Im still trying to find what I think about it all. i was approached by a woman the other day while traversing my cities Chinatown district, and she gave me a leaflette about the oppression of alun Gong in China. I'm still unsure how I feel about it...but it certainly looks interesting.

yea i use to practice falun gong here, and i can tell you everything about it.
Falun Gong is an ancient practice, made known to the world by master Li in 1992, currently oppressed by Chinese gov. (stupid communists...) many practioners have been tourtured to death. (now i think this should go to the energy request forum but... WE SHOULD SEND THEM SOME POSTIVE THOUGHTS!!!)
Falun Gong has much in common with Buddhism, Daoism, and Christianity. i, personally, believe that if you seek the truth of life, existance, universe... etc, you should at least read Zhuan Falun (that's the book's title, search it on google, you'll get free downloads). Falun gong do propose some "unbelieveable" theories, but if listen to their logic with a clear mind, you can see that their stuff is very scientific, very logical. how ever, falun gong do not encourage people using their magic abilities to make better lives for themselves. their belief is, like in Buddhism and Daoism, that people should let go of their ego, pay for their Karmar, improve their "mindfulness" (or xin-xing, as they call it) and at last become one with the ultimate power of the Law (aka, Fa, or Dharma). so, since using magic to make better lives for ourselves would slow down our process of suffering, and strengthen our ego, it is not good to do so. some stuff in Falun Gong is pretty unacceptable to most pagans. but please, at least finish reading Zhuan Falun. it will help you understand the universe. :)
as i said, i use to practice Falun Gong. reason why i gave up is because of the "letting go of the ego" part. i do have much in this world that i cant let go of... :P
