Hello All!

I'm just wondering how many Egyptian Pagans there are out there. Please let me know if you are one of them and if you have any pointers for me.

Bright Blessings,

Hi Tara!
I'm not sure if you mean pagans who are actually Egyptian or pagans who follow an Egyptian path spiritually.
My matron Goddess is Hathor (Het-Hert) so I am very influenced by Egyptian and Kemetic beliefs. However I wouldn't describe myself as strictly kemetic in my practices
There is a thread here at MW which discusses Egyptian Orthodox and kemetic beliefs and I'm sure you'll find lots of information there. Here is a link for you;-http://www.mysticwicks.com/showthread.php?t=59746
I hope that's helpfull! :)

I am a little confused by what you mean too. Either way, I probably am not what you are looking for - as although I study an Egyptian path, and honour the Egyptain Pantheon, I don't consider myself Pagan at all. But I'll talk to you about it :P (I'm Kemetic Orthodox BTW).

And I am a Thelemite, and we use (modified) Egyptian deities extensively.

I'm also Kemetic, with an interest in Hinduism. I have Djehuty, Sebek and Aset hanging around me. Djehuty follows me to uni, He does.

My housekeeper is being called by Sekhmet, but she's exhausted the web pages. Where does she need to go to find out about Kemetic Wiccan and the other options available to her? As there are no books we can find.

Thanks

MariThorn Here are a few links you might not hace tried yet.
http://www.thekeep.org/~kunoichi/kunoichi/themestream/egypt_column.html
http://www.hwt-hrw.com/index.phpl
http://www.branwenscauldron.com/resources/kemetic.html

Otherwise I think it is a case of visiting the library and old occult bookshops.
If Sekhemet is calling to your housekeeper, perhaps she should meditate and pray to her and I'm sure she will be lead in the right direction.

Thank you Cassie . . . she is just starting out, and at times feels a bit as if she shouldn't ask Sekhmet things. I'll show her the sites.

I'm Kemetic Orthodox, and Ecletic Pagan. What sort of information are you looking for?

I am Kemetic, but not Orthodox (I do not belong to the House of Netjer, nor to any temple for that matter).
Can you narrow down what sort of pointers you are after? I am sure that lots of people here will have good advice for you :)

I'm another Kemetic Orthodox (as well as an eclectic Pagan) checking in. Hi there. :) Everyone else has already given the best pointers. The only advice I can think to give is "Read, read, read."

Another Kemetic Orthodox (with strong Thelemic and eclectic pagan influences) reporting. If you can be a little more specific about the areas in which you're seeking guidance, I'm sure someone here can point you in the right direction. :)

Kemetic pagan here. I don't belong to any Temples or Houses or any such; I just follow a "soft" reconstructionist path with more neo-pagan practices mixed in than it will probably have later on down the road. (I'm still learning and figuring out things and researching; as I learn more of egyptian customs and ritual, they gradually replace the eclectic pagan forms I started out with.)

Another Kemetic Orthodox (though I also practice a form of Witchcraft separately) reporting for duty.

Long before I knew anything about Eris, I was called by Nepthys. She's been with me most of my life, although when I was a child I didn't realize who she was. I thought she was an angel or a genii or something. I'm a solitary and don't belong to a temple or any particular order, although there is a temple of Isis close by that I like to visit from time to time.

YAY!!! I found this thread! I thought it was gone for good!
well, since I first posted here, I found my way.
Well, I've always had a Love for Egypt! The country, the people, the culture, the religion! ABSOLUTLY BEAUTIFUL!!! In fact, I'm about to begin studying egyptology.
The first Gods I heard of where Isis and Ra. But the first to REALLY grab my attention where Sekhmet, Bast, Ptah and Osiris! Since I was last here, I've practiced quite a bit. Love it! It feels perfect to me! So, I suppose you could call me Kemetic (don't involve myself with the house of Netjer though. I follow it my way. The way that feels most comfortable to me! Thanks for all the comments by the way!
