Hello! I posted this on another forum that I am in and am just looking to see if anyone has had and similar expieriences. Ok so one day probobly about a year and a half to two years ago I had just put a cake in the oven and set the timer for 35 minutes later and checked the clock on the microwave before going back to my room. While sitting on my bed reading I began to nod off sitting up. I opened my eyes a minute later and saw in my full length mirror the image of what looked like a Leprachaun. I thought that when I turned to look away from the mirror to where he would be standing that he wouldnt be there, but he was. He was looking right at me with a kinda shocked look on his face like he couldnt believe I could see him. He looked exactly like what you would think a leprachaun would look like, 2-3 feet tall, green clothes, red hair and beard. After a few seconds of staring at eachother he started running around my room so fast that all I could see was a blur of color. He even ran behind me and I could feel the wind as he passed by me.Then he ran into my ajoining bathroom and disappeared. Now after this happend I went back to the kitchen to check on the cake though only ten minutes had passed and it was burnt to a crisp. I mean it looked like it had been in for hours it was black and very hard. Before any of you ask, I can assure you I didnt dream this. If there was the possibility of a dream I wouldnt be posting this now. Considering I had a timer on and I had just checked the clock is how I know, but even if I hadnt done that I would know it wasnt a dream. I am curious though has anything like this ever happend to any of you? I have seen spirits and other elemental beings before. I have even spoken with fairies but I guess I never thought I would see a leprachaun if that is what it was especially in Florida. He just caught me off gaurd and I am curious to hear your input. Someone had mentioned to me it could be an elf or another elemental being using glamor magik or basically just changing its real appearence into what I saw. Any thoughts? Thanks for listening!

well, at first I was thinking maybe it could've been a really short person but if he's running around your house, maybe not.

A friend of mine had a leprechaun as an "imaginary friend" when she was little. If I recall, she said it looked like the sterotypical leprechaun. Her parents were divorced when she was young and when she would stay at her dad's house, her leprechaun would often appear to her and would lead her outside of the house to sleep by a bush. How bizarre is that?
I have to admit that I would typically laugh at your story, but I believe my friend's recount of her own personal experience with a leprechaun and so I won't doubt your story.
Besides, I have had way too many you-are-absolutely-nuts experiences witnessing stereotypical and non-stereotypical images of "fantasy" beings with my own two wide-awake eyeballs, so I won't laugh at you. :)
That's pretty neat, though... burnt cake and all! Way cool.

lol Heavenshope he was definantly short, but not a person. Its something I will never forget and its put in with one of my stranger expiriences. I hate it when I cant explain something (yes I know I'm in the wrong religion for that) but if I can make sense of something it makes me feel better. Psypress that is a interesting story as well. He lead her to sleep in a bush? Maybe he just wanted her to be closer to nature. I have read things that said if you invite certain elementals into your home and dont leave them offerings the get pissed and do mischevious things to you. The thing is I dont recall inviting anything into my home, especially a Leprachaun. I may have asked for fairies or something but I dont recall. Maybe he burnt the cake because I upset him, although I dont know what I could have done. I dont know, thanks for your posts!

Hey - who knows????
And you're right... I agree that if you want direct and simple answers, this isn't the path for you! But when you're forced down a path where you are running into leprechauns, at there may be no other path FOR you! ;)

well, at least you have seen things. As much as I believe in the things I believe I've yet to see anything. I wouldnt mind seeing something as long as it isnt a ghost, I think I'd freak if that happened. I have issues sleeping as it is.
Well maybe the leprachaun wanted some cake.

I've never seen anything like a leprechaun, but one of the women my mom works with had a weird (to say the least) experience in her home. She said she was up in the middle of the night, and she saw a little man standing in the corner of her living room watching her. She thought she was just seeing things in the shadows, ignored it, and went back to bed. The next morning she told her oldest son about it and he said "Oh yeah, I've seen him before."
:foh:
She treated the whole thing like it was no big deal. Personally, I thought their reaction was a little too calm for what to me would be a rather alarming situation. Anyway, she didn't give a description of what this "little man" looked like, so I don't know if it was a leprechaun, gnome, elf, ghost, dwarf, or what it might have been.

Well I've had similar experiances, only much more frightening than a leprachaun. Although one of them was a short (thing) at the foot of my bed, but looked more like cousin it from the adams family. All of the 'sightings', I've been unable to move. Which leads me to believe it's Sleep Paralysis (http://watarts.uwaterloo.ca/~acheyne/S_P.html).
These episodes feel VERY real.
The very first one I had was the worst. This banshee type being floated into my room, she was beautiful, of course I was terrified. I couldn't scream; couldn't move (which is really the most frightening part). She descended down ontop of me and she turned into this dead horse woman. There was a knock at the door which woke me up. It's been too long and I can't remember if when I went to the door I was actually asleep or awake, but there was a man selling mormon bibles at the door (or something) it was just WAY to freakin' weird.

I have seen lots of interesting things in my life although this one was probobly the strangest.I dont blame you heavanhope for not wanting to see ghosts as they usual in my expirience scare the s*it out of me no matter what. Unfortunantly alot of times they do come to me when I'm sleeping, either by just standing in my room or sitting on my bed. Its very unerving, but I have to be careful because I keep a loaded gun next to my bed.I guess it wouldnt matter if I shot a ghost or any spirit though would it? I only started to see elemental spirits after I started studying about them. I've always been really into fairies and I began meditating and doing spells and rituals to see them. Well it worked! I can feel them around me often ever since. Sometimes I just see purpilish blue balls floating around and I'll hear little giggles or just feel them. If your wanting to see elementals heavenshope, just go outside and talk to them, and meditate on them, eventually you'll see results. Trithemius your story reminds me of one my brother told me. When he was younger he was staying the night at a friends house across the street from mine and he was laying in bed trying to sleep when he saw a gnome running around the room! He said it looked like the garden statues of them like 1 foot tall with a pointy red hat. Needless to say he didnt fall asleep at all that night! Maybe my area is infested with elementals, but I have never thought of Florida being a place that they are usually seen like Scotland or Ireland. I guess if they dont hurt you then it isnt a big deal(unless you count burning your food!). I actually love that I've seen these things and that there are others with similar expiriences. Thanks everyone for making me feel a little less insane!:kooky:

Autumnfaery your expiriences are much more intense then mine was. Actually mine wasnt really scary at all more just weird. I have had night terrors or sleep paralysis before although not to that extent. My sister started having then about a year ago and her stories are terryfying. What I have learned in studying about it is that supposedly its when your spirit is astral traveling in your sleep and your concious mind wakes up while your spirit is trying to go back into your body and your mind freaks out because it thinks your dead. For some reason you feel an intese sense of doom and that there is an evil presence in the room with you. Most the time you are paralyzed and cant even speak and some get a crushing sensation on their chest. I know alot of people will actually see evil beings.Once your spirit does enter your body it goes away. I'm no expert but I did want to share that information with you and let you know that your not alone. Alot of people have those terrible expieriences. I hope that this information helps(unless of coarse you already knew it!) and I also hope that you dont have anymore!!!Take care!

I actually haven't had one in years (thank goodness). The last one I had (with the Cousin It thing at the foot of the bed) wasn't so scary, probably because I had Indian spirits around me constantly (sitting at the kitchen table with me in plain view, muddy-barefooted foot prints in the middle of the house that was no where near any doors, etc) so I guess I just figured it was a spirit that needed a hair cut LOL. But yeah.
In a way it is comforting to know that I'm not some psycho fruitloop, but at the same time I hate knowing that other people go through that same feeling of terror. I'm glad what happened to you wasn't the same thing and that yours wasn't scary!
And on that note -
Yay for Leprachauns! hehe

The closes thing to a spirit that I've seen...or at least I thought I saw was this old man laying next to me in bed. I was in this in between stage of asleep and awake....I was sleeping on my back but my head was facing to the left side and I turned a little towards the right and there he was. This old, lanky, creepy looking man. He grinned a little, I kinda froze a bit and I couldnt scream, so I turned around the other way hoping I was just dreaming and he would go away. I just closed my eyes but I can feel his hands coming over my face, he was stroking my hair and his fingers were going over my mouth, so I bit down on his finger and then I kinda 'fell' into this deep sleep. Not sure what he or it was...I havent been able to sleep with the lights off ever since, at least not when I'm alone. It was wierd I could move but for some reason I couldnt move a whole lot or fast, I just felt so weak so I did the only thing I could, I figure if I couldnt scream I'd get him to scream and wake up my parents.

AutumnFaery when you say you had indian spirits around you do you mean they were ghosts or spirit guides? I'm just curious. I know I feel safe when I feel certain spirits around such as my aunts spirit or my spirit guide or my gaurdian angels. When I do have spirits that creep me out around or a night terror the first thing I do either aloud or in my head is ask my spirit guides and angels to make it go away and everytime its gone within a few seconds. They are the best protection I have and they work immediatly. They havent ever failed me so I always tell people to ask for there help and they always do. Heavenshope that would scare me too! I have never spoken with the ghosts before but I see them often. I have spoken with my spirit guides and elemental spirits, but I have never been touched like that. Last week I was lighting all the candles in my room and as soon as I lit the last one something rubbed their finger nails across the back of my neck. It was weird but I just ignored it. I've read that spirits cannot see artificial light and they can find you easier in the candlelight. I dont know if that had anything to do with it or not. Its good to be able to post this stuff to people with similar expieriences it makes me feel less alone! Thanks guys!!!

Well, the Indian spirit situation is rather complicated. I'll try to keep it as short and sweet as possible...
My ex MIL's boyfriend had a spirt guide. When they strated dating, strange things started happening in the house. Things that ranged from going bump in the night, all the way to muddy foot prints on the floor.
He (the boyfriend) said that she (the spirit guide) wanted to send me one, too. At that time I was very much against it because I was afraid of my own shadow. One day he said she had been sent, and after that is when the spirits started appearing in plain view. I really only physically saw her once, sitting at the kitchen table looking at me. She was absolutely beautiful - I'll never forget her. But at the same time I was alone in the house and freaking terrified so I turned it off. (does that make sense?) She never showed herself to me again. My ex MIL, however, saw plenty of spirits all the time, including her.
Honestly, I haven't thought about it in so long, I dunno if she was there for me or just one of the spirits connected to the MIL and her boyfriend.
It was just a strange time, in a strange house.

:foh: <never lights a candle again>
Edited to add: I have never myself seen one of The Good Folk, but I know someone who has, and they say that they're very tall and beautiful, they live by the water, and they never, ever steal your stuff. Especially not stuff you need, like house keys, braces for your broken foot, syringes to give your puppy its medication, eye glasses (twice), etc. They would never dream of it.
Very kind folk, they are.

Irishdancer I have never personally had any poblems with the fae taking my things. The only thing is the burnt cake and I think I may have done something to offend him, I just dont know what though. Your friend is right about them. There are all kinds of different elementals and alot of them are much bigger then the average human being. The fae do tend to stick around all forms of nature but water of any form (lakes, springs, rivers, oceans, ect)is always a good place to start.Even your flowers in a vase will have fairies and an essence to it. There are very small fairy beings as well, but not all of them are like that like some may think. I have never seen a ugly fairy yet. Also they can glamor into other forms so they can look however they want. When you spend time with them yu feel very refreshed and in tune with yourself. They have alot of information to share esecially about the enviornment. Eventually I'm going to write a book about these wonderful beings but not for awhile because I am still new to working with them. One thing to remember is they are not all nice. I havent ran into any bad ones yet but from what I have read there ae some very malevolent elementals out there.P.S. dont be afraid of candles! It does seem to bring spirits out of the wood work a little more, but given your back ground they are going to come anyways! Ask your angels to watch over you and mentally put a protective circle of white light around your body. You'll be fine!!!
AutamnFaery, that is very interesting! I have never heard of anyone calling an extra spirit guide for people. You are born with one and I'm curious if this is the one you were born with or just one that came to help you out with something. I have been trying to work with mine a little more clearly but I cant seem to communicate with her very well. Maybe I'm not ready I dont know. I have met her once but havent made contact since. Its funny the spirits that I dont really want around I see often but the ones I want to speak with are never around!!!Guess thats my luck!!!

Well, I've heard it's not wise to speak in specifics about the Good People, not that they would ever start stealing your stuff or trying to punish you.
... Now where are my glasses.

October 28th, 2005, 02:48 PM
Are the glasses silver and wire rimmed? I just found them on my front porch!Just kidding!
I have done alot of reading about them and hands on expirience. It seems everything I read contradicts itself from things I've learned myself or from other books. Alot of the books say different things. I dont think personally they mind if you talk about them especially in a good way. The more you talk about them the more people may start to believe again and they want people to believe. I know they get mad at you if you litter or do anything to hurt the enviornment especially on purpose, but I would NEVER do that. I think I mentioned before that they get bad at you if you invite them into your home to stay and then you ignore them and dont leave them offerings. I think that I may have in some way maybe not even knowing it invited them into my home and didnt know they were there, so the leprachaun made sure that I did know. I am not sure if thats it but its my best guess. I guess the next tie I speak with the fae, I'll just ask them if they get upset if you talk about them and if they know anything about my leprachaun visit. Thats one way to get answers, go straight to the source. I just never thought about it before, thanks!!!

A couple of you had made mention of small or short little men in your house, I thought I might point out that some of them may be brownies, which are great to have in any house.
If you guys are interested, I could post a little information about them later on.
I consider any house with brownies in it a blessed one- they are so helpful.

Whysperanu, actually I had thought the same thing. I mentioned a little about them in a earlier post on this thread. The only thing is he didnt look like a Brownie at least not what I have read about them. This being looked exactly like a leprachaun, although that doesnt nesscisarily mean thats what it was. I would love to have a Brownie in my house though, from what I've read about them , they are really sweet and very helpful too. I am wondering if thats what it was myself though. Thanks!

No problem :) I am fairly convinced the being you saw was a leprachaun, but a couple of other people mentioned small or short men just hanging out, no particular dress, so I thought perhaps, a brownie.
Off to type my brownie post, muh hahaha.
