Just woundering if you have used/made flying ointment? What was your experience like with it?

Its used to "promote astral travel", like mushrooms or peyote. There are various recipes, most are deadly if made incorectly, other modern recipes are made with hashish oil or marijuana. It's made in a similar manner as in the salve recipe i gave you, only the plants you would add would be belladona, acconite etc... very very poisonous plants.

So, in view of this, I would suggest that anyone not wishing do die a lingering death refrain from making the "classic" version of flying ointment :broomride

However, there are modern, non toxic, non-illegal recipes that are interesting but not so psycotropic. I've made both the hash based and mugwort based versions before and they were both pretty interesting, though of course the hash based one is more condusive to visions.

The reason its called flying ointment is supposidly it is what made mideval witches think they were flying to meet at a sabbat. It was mixed with ashes so the witches could see where they had put it on their bodies so they wouldn't double up on ointment and OD. Really, its a pretty interesting bit of lore.
