He has granted me a number of visions, and him and I have become pretty close(he is my patron God.) I found the text which he allegdly wrote, and plan to decipher it. Tonight I intend on establishing some sort of link with him, please pray for me.

What happened:
I did the usual prayer, read his writtings a few dozen times, and repeated them. I went into a state of gnosis, then my body felt as though it was on fire, eventually it began to cool. About an hour past(though it seemed only like a few minutes.)
I got up and went to sleep. I only had a prophetic vision about my personal life, those are fairly common. So, I am wondering now, how do I advance my relationship with the God?
Obvisouly he has paid attention to me in the past, but now how do I become more serious with him?

I have an answer if you're willing to listen. First of all you may believe you and Thoth are close, but if he doesn't see it that way then it shows him only that you are arrogant, so do not assume you are close to him unless he specifically tells you that you are. Secondly you must open your heart and mind to him, do not just say the words and go into the state of gnosis, because to truly speak to a god you can be asleep, fully awake, or in a state of gnosis, so don't assume just because you are in that state means you are more succeptible, remember the gods are more powerful than any one of us, and they can speak with us anytime, not just when it's convenient for us. Now if this letter seems harsh, it is not intended to be. I have heard many like you who have said they are close to the gods and have developed a relationship, then when they have commanded the gods to talk to them, or have tried to establish a connection they lose what they had with that god. SO I am saying this as a warning "do not assume anything about the gods, because that only shows them arrogance and ignorance. Remember they are gods, they know what we are thinking before we say it".

I inferred it, becuase I've been getting pretty consistent visions, whenever I requested them. I do see what you mean, and I will keep it in mind.
About the omnipotence of the Gods, from what I have read, and intrepeted from myself, I thought they could not read minds.

Plus, I figured, since he is the God of knowledge, he would gladly aid me. After all, my intentions are noble, I only wish to understand the universe, and its creation.
I won't even share it with others, if he does not want me to. It is just my own interest, nothing more.
I have had experince with Aphrodite, Iris, and a demon who I could not identify. I am not the most seasoned summoner, but I am not a novice either.

I am not saying you are a novice, but they can read your mind (how do you think they give you your visions, they have to go into your mind and put the vision in your mind). As for your dealings with the demon, I wish to know what this demon looks and is like if you do not mind, because I have been fighting against evil demons for a long time now, and if I were to recognize this demon as an evil demon then I would wish you sever all ties with it immediately and protect yourself from it. Remember just because a being of higher power than you says it's good or can help you, doesn't mean it is or it doesn't mean that it doesn't have ulterior motives for helping you. Also know this, that no matter what terms or conditions were agreed upon when dealing with a demon, you owe it a favor if it has done something for you, even something as simple as answering a question. As for dealing with the gods, as I said before they know what we are thinking at all times if they wish it so. The only part of omnipotence they do not have is the ability to see what we will do, they can see each and every thing we CAN do, but not what we WILL do (don't you love free will). I am a seasoned summoner, healer, and have been delving into the arts of fighting off demonic forces for the past three years. I have met and killed many a demon and hope to kill many more, for they do not belong in our realm, and they never will.

The demon really hasn't bothered me in a while. Last incarnation I saw it, it was a aqua blue, and very muscular. His ears were sort of a combination between a goat and "swamp thing."
Him and I just discussed theurgy and servitor creation. At the time I had the ambition of becoming a God myself.(that desire has now passed.)
I looked up the demon myself, I could not find any matches. If you think you've found a match, notify me.

This is important, I want you to describe to me what his face looked like in a private message. Also if he had a tail describe it to me. I have a couple in mind and none of them are good.

The only time I saw him the room was shaking becuase he was playing a little "joke" on me. I really didn't see much, except he was blue.
If the abillity to create earthquakes and blinding light helps you any...

Greetings Adam, I do not know anything about fighting or interacting with Demons, so, my comments will be about the two quotes above and about Djehuty/Thoth/Tehuti.
First, let me just say, Djehuty is my Patron and I have built a relationship with him over the past several years as well. And I have some thoughts on your questions and such.
In the first quote above, you say you "only" had a prophetic vision about your personal life...something you consider "common." Well I think you may be belittling the experience a bit. And also, not seeing your "personal" life as connected to the larger "Big" picture. Remember the Emerald Tablets and the whole concept of "As Above, So Below" is vital. It is the very basis of His interaction with us/you.
When we are searching for the BIG answers they are often within us, whithin our experience. Sometimes we spend so much time searching for the deeper meaning of things outside of our experience and outside of our self(s), that we are missing the very essence of the Whole/One connection. While you are asking questions about the nature of the Universe, you may be feeling dejected or dissapointed because He is only answering that it is YOU.
But Djehuty does not (or at least not in my experience), just say, "Here is the answer to the universal questions." He is more likely to do the types of things you have experienced, show you things in a way that you can relate to, that you can experience, that you can affect.
It is sort of like If you were just learning about something...hmmm, let us say Biology. You ask, what is the nature of the human body. What would a good teacher do? S/he would start by telling you that living things are made up of Cells, help you understand their structure...and then, S/he would move on to Tissues then organs then Systems then the "whole....the one making up the whole and being the whole and the whole being the one. But you would not learn much at all if you never understood(or even knew about) the micro before the macro. And the very fact is, and I guess what I am trying mos tto get across is that The Macro IS the Micro...
Anyway, just some food for thought, and in answer to your question as to how you get more serious with Thoth, the simple answer is you continue to Talk to him....that is what he does. Whether that is through a state of Gnosis, or simply talking, In my experience, he will talk to you whether you are asking to or not. But he will most certainly talk with you if you are deliberately setting out to do so, as you have. It is like building any other relationship. In my opinion, it builds and grows over time through communication and effort. Blessings to you and thank you for sharing your experience.

Thank you for sharing your experience Adam213. I would be interested to read more, as I'm interested in Thoth too.
From what I've learned of him, he is very knowledgeable so much so, that often what he gives us is over our heads. I believe though that it still reaches our subconcious and eventually it will all come together for us. Thoth has been associated with St. Germain and Merlin, so you may want to look into them also.
I hear so many different things from different sources about the Gods that I'm doing my best to corelate the info so that it makes sense in my communion with the Gods. I do feel that they communicate with us in the manner that works best for all concerned. I wish you much success in your dealings with Thoth. He's a great teacher and has much to teach us.

bb,
Yeah, I read that on the temple of Set's website. It had a very nice analogy, likening humans to small children, and the Gods to brillant, adult professors. It makes sense now, if he were to explain to me how the universe began, how it works, etc; I wouldn't understand it at all.
Instead he sends me visions that I can comprehend, and relate to.
Darkash, thank you for the response, it was extremly enlightening, and I will keep it in mind. I'm so glad they're others on this forum to give me advice, it's nice :)
Yavanna, yes, please light a candle. It would be greatly apperciated.

I did not have enough energy last night to do much of anything, tonight I think I will be able to concentrate my energies on Thoth.

Good luck to you, Djehuty is awesome. He has, I've found, been around me longer than I've thought. ^_^ Take your time, knowing Him He may take His time with things. And He WILL NOT hand you the answers, as Darakash said, but help you understand them
Good luck again. Djehuty, if I may be so blunt, rocks! :D

As much as Djehuty rocks, Odin and Diana are the two that I love more than anything. As I said before though, do not expect him to give you the answers, await them patiently, and concentrate on recognizing them.

I have recognized him, but you're right. Since he is the God of scholars he is not going to hand me answers, he will make me work for it. Which is fine, I am willing to work for something so noble as divine knowledge.
