Does anyone here adore bergamot eo?
I love it, it blends so well with so many other oils.
I have it blended with geranium rose and lavender for a really beautiful scent called "Serenity" in my massage oil and body butter products. I am really proud of myself for creating that one. :D

Bergamot is also so refreshing and balancing that it works well on it's own too.

What do you like about bergamot?

Bergomot is one of my favorites. I like it for it's calming effect, It's wonderful in a bath after a stressfull day. It also gives me a lift without making me manic.

I combine bergamot, clove, lavendar and distilled water and use it as a room spray. It's a wonderful Florida water...

It's handy for driving out chest colds too, not as strong as thyme but the same active ingredient. But my favorite part is growing it my garden!

Actually, bergamot the herb is different that bergamot the eo, which comes from a fruit- it is a pear shaped citrus fruit and the eo is expressed from the rind. It grows in the Mediterranean region- on 15 foot trees.
Just my little tidbit of useless info. :D

That's hilarious! I thought 'eo' was a typo, and that you meant oil or something. hahaha....ahh Anyways yeah, the perennial herb (monarda) smells lemony, and is reminiscent of the bergamot oil extracted from citrus aurantium's fruit, which is why, i'm guessing, it is sometime called bergamot. Hmpt.. learn something new everyday!! thanx!

I always refer to the herb as bee balm so I won't get them confused.
