Alrighty folks, I need a spiritual tune-up!
I've lost my connection with the energies, I've quit doing anything spiritual besides lighting candles although that is mostly for the sake of warmth so nope candles arenn't even spiritual to me anymore.
I need a spiritual tune-up!
Does anyone have any suggestions on what I can do to get back in the spiritual groove? I mean, I've come up with a few ideas, like mediate or something similiar but I can't find the energy to do it or the desire or the spark that used to make me jump at the chances to do such things.
I need to add some fuel to the spiritual fire.
Any suggestions?

Start by either finding a big oak tree and just sit close to it, or go to the shore and just soak your feet. Feel the rhythm of the ocean and picture your negativity wash out with the tide. Feel the positive energy wash back to you.

I don't live anywhere near the ocean and it's way to cold to go to the beach here in Michigan. I might try to find an oak tree though...if I knew what one looked like. Hehe, I'll see what I can find googling.
Edited to Ask...
If I find a tree with acorns on it is that an oak tree? Because there are sooo many different kinds of oak trees I discovered during my googling!

It doesn't really matter what tree. Oak is nice because it has an nice grounded effect. Just find a tree with a big trunk that feels comfortable to you. Don't do this in the rain or snow.

I think you should start small, with a nightly meditation or yoga. And build from there. Set aside a little bit of time (10 or 20 minutes) to practice whatever it is you want to learn. Start praying nightly and in the morning, be mindful for all the things around you, and stuff like that.

Start praying nightly and in the morning
I don't have any choosen deities, I've never ventured in that direction so I don't know how I'd do the prayer bit. Does prayer have to involve a deity?

I don't think so. I rarely have a particular deity in mind when I pray. I just do it to get things out and connect with Whomever Is Listening.
Good luck with your 'tune-up!'

Instead of trying to set aside time for this, you might try to find a way to rediscover the sacred and spiritual in what you already do. Wake up in the morning and feel the way your body is made of Water, solid like Earth, lungs filling with Air, blood racing like Fire to greet the new day. In the shower, feel the sacred cleansing power of Water. When you go to bed at night, hear the voices of the Mysterious Ones speaking to you in that world between sleep and awake.
I find in myself that when I think of spirituality as something "other" that I have to take time out of my day for, I rapidly lose interest in it. But when I remember that every moment is already sacred, I get much more excited about setting aside time for doing nothing but acknowledging that sacredness. Maybe you could start there?

Does prayer have to involve a deity?I don't think it does. But it helps to believe in a loving Source.

No, it doesn't have to involve a deity. Also, it doesn't need to involve names of diety. If you want, they can be nameless dieties as well. I pray to nameless dieties (God, Goddess) and my ansestors every night before I sleep.

I second connecting to spirituality in the mundane.
I've connected with Water elementals while washing dishes; walking anywhere is good for connecting with Earth (your feet touch the ground); the telephone is all about Air as is the Internet (IMO); sunshine is Fire, etc.
If I try to schedule time to meditiate, oftentimes I find something else that needs to be done right then, so I improvise. I'll meditate while sweeping the floor, petting my cat, sitting in meetings at work and just generally going about my life.

~wonders if there is a Spiritual "Pep Boys" facility on the Astral Plane~
People generally get the 'out of tune with the Spiritual feeling', because they've gotten stuck in their own head.
Try practicing random acts of kindness. Do something nice for somebody totally out of the blue, simply because you can. That always works for me... ;)

I like everyones ideas so far. :)
Today riding my bike to class I tried to focus on the feel of the wind, not the negativity of it being so damn cold, but the power and the strength of it. I really noticed just how warm the sunlight felt on me outside when the sun peaked out from behind the clouds.
It was a good day. :) I think I'm getting this started.

you could start by trying to get back into meditation, at night or any other time when you are not too busy. or you could do a ritual bath, and add cleansing herbs to it. You could try smudging, or grounding. I have an idea for a more elaborate ritual where you take something of each element and let it wash away your clutter and replenish you, for example plants or stones for earth or even a facial/body mud for earth, a bowl of water for well water, acool breeze for air, and the sun for fire. you could imagine the wind clearing it pout of your eyes, and reviving you, the water pouring away your negative clutter, and refreshing yopu, the earth moving your negativity and grounding you, and the sun melting your stress and firing you up. Or something like that. Just as thoughts.

I kind of find that things like what you're looking for hit me when i'm not looking for them; I'll suddenly look up at the sky or the moon or see the stars and I'll kind of feel 'connected' to it without making a conscious effort; don't try to think about anything, just let awareness dawn on you, if that doesn't sound too hippy.
