This time of year there are lots of programs that give kids gifts. My favorite program is Toys for tots this program has made this time of year special to my children on many occations. If you click on this link then click the Santa they donate $1 to toys for tots. Please take a moment of your day to do this for the kids it helps make the season magical no matter who you worship or what the holiday means to you.

Thanks for the link. I think it is great that they are doing this. I dont know what I would have done without toys for tots groups a few years ago.

They have helped me keep the magic of this season alive for my children more than once when there would have been nothing from me. This has been another of those years so it makes me happy to spread this around. I feel like I am giving something back.

When I have enough money to buy MY child presents I'll donate. I've been turned down for Toys for Tots for the past 3 yrs.

I am sorry your kids were turned down I have been very lucky with them especially since I have never called them they have always called me.

if you want to make contact with the "toys for tots" programme locally look up the local u.s. marine recruiter or marine reserve unit, it's been a favourite charity of the marine corps for many years.

My mom and I go shopping every year for toys for tots and also for the "giving tree" at her church. I buy a few books for the book trees at some of the local libraries or the "Give a Child a Book" program that's gaining popularity. They're great programs!

a very good suggestion niamh, i've good hopes for my grand daughter, she starrted first grade in september and she's picking up reading quite quickly already.
