Psychic gifts?

I know it's possible for any one to develop thier psyhic ablilities. I have been very interested in developing mine. But some times I am afraid that maybe I am mean't to be as I am now and not develop myself any more. As though, if I was about to develop myself more perhaps I couldn't handle it. But is this just self doubt? (I do tend to do that some times, I will admit this.)

I suppose I just need some help and other opinions. Thank you.

Hi.....Before I give you my opinion about what you wrote I wanted to comment on something you wrote. You said, "...meant to be as you are now...". You are who you are. You already have the ability.It's not something you "develope". It's something that's been apart of you since you've entered this life. Now for my opinion and remember it's just "my" opinion.It's ok to be afraid of it a little.Most people choose to ignore that wonderous gift that the Goddess has bestowed upon each of us.The fact that you're a little afraid of your potential is a good start in acknowledging that you have a gift.Just ask the Goddess for guidence and she will. She has never let us down before. If you'd like to talk more I'm here.

Thank you Storm. Your words were very kind and made me feel much more comfortible with who I am ^^ <3 Asking the goddess may be the perfect way to turn. The one way I haven't gone to yet. I was wondering if you could recommed any books or sites that I could perhaps read about on psychic ablilities? It's pretty important to me that I understand more about myself. ^^

Well the person that you are now did not just happen. The person you are now resulted from your life experiences and from you growing and changing from them. So go for it. You caution is a good thing though. It will probably keep you from not being careful. Go for it!! To me psychic power is like an intrument. If I wanted to play the violin I can't say, Oh well if I was meant to play the violin I would be born knowing how. Its true that some people have some predisposition towards it. But you can still be great. Besides if you really weren't meant to have psychic power then no amount of practice will change anything right? Im sure that you will be great at it!!

Yes , You can learn ways to develop your psychic abilities. There is even a class in the Circle of Teaching here designed to help with that.

We all change hopefully as we progress in our life cycle.It would be natural for You to try to develop your abilities just like getting an education etc. It is okay to be a bit scared that means You have some sense of respect for the Creator who has bestowed those gifts.I agree ask for guidance and do what is right for you.
