I have been in a MSTie kind of mood lately, and I know I am not the only fan out there... so along with the poll, I ask you, "What is your ALL-TIME favourite MST3K Episode???"

Okay... I actually have 7!!
7. Monster - a -Go-Go (RHino PLEASE release this one on video and DVD!!!)
6. The Screaming Skull (Simply for the Gumby Short)
5. Pod People (Who couldn't love the adorable Alf on crack, Trumpy?)
4. Cataline Caper (I love how the writers of the show, who are predominantly white... rip Tommy Kirk and friends to shreds!!)
3. Eegah (Am I the only one who thinks Aussie heartthrob Heath Ledger is a DEAD RINGER for Arch Hall, Jr.?)
2. The Day the Earth Froze (Who knows what a Sampo is... I do!!!)
1. ::::::drum roll please::::::: MANOS THE HANDS OF FATE
(Hums the haunting Torgo theme!!!) FYI- Did you know that the actor that played Torgo killed himself the same year he made this movie?

Joel all the way! I'm ALL about Joel! :D

I forget which movie this is, but Joel and the Bots are doing a segment about being a foley artist, and Joel is showing them how to make the sound effect for a herd of buffalo using hampsters in a cardboard box! :D Then he does water buffalo!! :rotfl: :T TOO funny!

As for favourite movies they've done - I haven't seen a huge amount of them, so I'm sure there's more out there that are potential faves! "Manos Hands of Fate" was so painfully funny, you have to love it! I also like "Cave Dwellers" (soft spot for the first MST3K I saw) and .... oh, I forget the name of the movie. But I like it simply for the "Mr. B-Natural" film strip in front of it!! ("Bad Touch!") Oh man, that was soo funny!

I gotta say I like Mike better. Mike's first episode, "The Brain That Wouldn't Die", that's the best MST3k that I've seen. I actually saw "Manos" on TV as a real movie. I didn't watch it but it was on.

JOEL IS THE MAN!!!! I'd say any one with the giant turtle, the name I can't remember. The first one I ever saw was one of those, and this monster that shot a rainbow out of its back and blew up cities with it. I cracked up. Okay, so i was stoned!!! But it was sooo damn funny, espcecially since I used to watch them with my 2 best guy buddies. When the monster died, my long haired, quite poet guy Joe says "he's dead jim" that's all it took. My buddy sean and I laughed so hard we fell off the couch. Then there's of course, Manos Hands of Fate!!! "Okay, everyone pick out someone they want to punch!" "The man yes, the girl no!" hee hee.

Ya know I never knew that about the Torgo guy. too bad. the movie was a chuckle. Eshallet just told me that Manos is about to be relased (MST Of course) on DVD. I'm soo exicted.

OOOO!!! What about "I accuse my Parents!!!" oh that movie was hysterical.

MST3K ROCKS MAN!!!!!!!!

Thank the gods for Video and DVD though!!!

LdyStarlite.... the giant turtle was called Gamera.... I liked how Joel and the bots were disturbed by Kenny's (The little Japanese kid) Richard Simmons shorts... :rotfl:

Manos will still be my all time favourite:

Woman: "The man yes... the child no...."
Crow: "Cheese.... maybe"

This is a list from the guide (which I suggest every MSTie get... since it is hilarious!!)

THE MUST DISGUSTING THINGS WE'VE EVER SEEN

MITCHELL: Joe Don Baker in bed with Linda Evans, and a bottle of baby oil on the nightstand. Think of Joe Don Baker's beefy backside, his thick, rolling muscles all gummy with oil, and then think about what it would feel like to rub that gunk into his skin.... Dont ever get yourself in that situation.

Daddy-O: A similar scene, with Bruno VaSota's assitant massaging his very hefty shoulders. Oil-stained beefy guys-thats why we go to the movies.

Zombie Nightmare: A skinny fellow in white Jockey underpants fools around with a voluptous blonde in a whirpool. Seeing him slip ever so tenderly into the water is bad enough. Then he gets out, walks right by the camera, and there it is: a close up of his underpants! From the front!

The Wild World of Batwoman: Everything, but especially the monkeylike twit who lurches about making monkey faces and monkey noises. An unattractive man.

Eegah: There's a scene when Roxie's dad (director Arch Hall, Sr.) encourages Roxie to give herself to caveman Eegah as he paws her. At the time, she's draped sensuously across Dad's lap. So the whole deal's just real perverted, and since Arch Hall, Sr, has a deep tan and a thin mustache, its hardly surprising. With the possible exception of Ken Venturi, tanned men with thin mustaches are always sickos. Just look at Bebe Rebozo. (He looks like that, right?)

Eegah: Roxie shaves Eegah, his thick, lolling tongue lapping at the shaving cream, and it looks like a big gooey worm.

Hercules and the Captive Women: There's one "buffalo shot" in particular involving a midget. Nothing against midgets, but when this guy lays facedown with his back to the camera, the effect is really disturbing. Maybe its all the wrinkles.

Being from Another Planet: Everybody in this movie is disgusting. Watch for the costume party, with droopy students in sheets prancing stiffly across a lawn to the strains of a truly execrable "rock" song. Fun.

Any of the Gamera movies: Those little boys in their little pants. Dont the Japanese know how creepy it is?

The Amazing Colossal Man: On the other end of the spectrum, that big pair of diapers the army makes Glen ("was 50 ft tall")* Manning wear. They're big and they gotta be real smelly.

Attack of the Eye Creature: The guy with the oily face and the knee-length nightdress, lazing about on his grimy, sticky sheets.

Manos, the Hands of Fate: The very idea of including the little daughter in a white dress as one of Satan's brides, or whatever those women are supposed to be. (Why does Satan need brides? Are there cute little knee high Satans running around Hell?)

Manos: Torgo's knees. More precisely, wondering what's inside them.

Warrior of the Lost World: When the rubbery hero kisses Persis Khambatta, its like watching a carp get it on.

Santa Claus Conquers the Martians: Droppo (the laziest Martian on Mars) mugs and whimpers almost as horribly as the monkey guy in the Wild World of Batwoman.

San Francisco International: Pernell Robert's smug little grin is as disgusting, in its way, as any billowy bouncy buffalo shot.

* I had to sneak that quote in. As for me... I would like to nominate the dance sequences in Catalina Caper to the list... how about any of you?

Okay.... just a reminder that this is not all from my head (I am a loser.. but not *that much* of a loser!! lol ;) ) but from my handy dandy MST3k Amazing Colossal Episode Guide:

The episode with "Mr. (?) B. Natural" is Show #319- "War of the Colossal Beast":

Reflections from Kevin "Tom Servo" Murphy:
"Two things: First, for me, the Mr. B. Natural phenomenon, classically called the Mary Martin syndrome, is not only uncomfortable, it's downright damaging. A boy with great legs and boobs is just plain wrong. I cant put to fine a point on it. This unaddressed sexual confusion is the kind of thing that causes potentially well-adjusted young gay men to run screaming for the closet. Second, Paul Chaplin (who was a writer on the show) admitted to us that he found himself strangely attracted to Mr. B. Natural. We all slowly moved away from him... and has caused me to question Paul's sanity, but the very existence of a God."

The episode with Kathy Ireland is Show #516-"Alien from L.A."

Joel was so much funnier than Mike!!! My fave episodes were any of the Steve Reeves Hercules movies. "My backpack full of pecs!"
Also loved the episode where they watched Teens from Space. Hilarious.
