Last week I tried scrying with a mirror in hopes of meeting Frigga. Ok well I read a poem for her, lit a candle & incense & started gazing into the mirror. Before too long all I saw was this 1 eye looking back at me and that's all I ever saw. It didn't look feminine like hers I thought might. It would blink but that's it just the eye, so it didn't really catch me as being much of anything so after a whle of looking at this 1 eye I stopped, said thanks and was done. Didn't know much of what do make of it.

<this ties into just now>

Now today I started reading Germanic Heathenry by Coulter and on page X at the end of the foreward in the 3rd paragraph it says, "So, do not be suprised if, as you read this book you discover unexpected memories awakening beneath the surface of your consciousness like gentle ripples stirring the still, mirror-like waters in a deep, silent well. It is Mimir's Well. And Odins eye is staring back at you from its depths."

And as soon as I read that last sentence it hits me :stooges: WHAM, was that Odin I saw when I was scrying since Odin has one eye, did he come thru instead of Frigga? Or could it have been that I was looking into Mimir's Well and saw the eye Odin sacrificed looking back at me. Whoa this so....uh...I don't know what to call it, it makes so much sense now that I read that because a mirror is part of the element water; well, eye, Odins eye......

If so that's my 1st encounter with one of the gods. wow

Maybe the eye in Mimirs' Well was more of a symbol of sacrifice?

Well, if there is one thing I have learned, it is that Odin's claims his children in pretty dramatic ways. :)

it could very be Odin's eye.
It could also be that since Mimir is the well of wisdom that you were seeing wisdom, or a glimpse into their worlld period. that's pretty exciting any way you look at it! No pun intended hehehe.

Hey thanks for the responses, this was also only my 3rd time attempting to scry with a mirror. The 1st 2 times I didn't get anything & this time I got the wavy lines I've heard about and the eye popped right up and stayed till I ended the session.

I'm still in shock now that I finally understand what I saw after reading those few lines that made it all don on me today.

I went to a friends house today (shes a very good witch) and I told her about this all and she instantly got cold chills every time I mentioned Odin. She relies heavily on her intuition and in a tarot reading she revealed that yes it was Odins eye from Mimirs well and that Odin wants me to study & learn the 9 mysteries.

This 1, 5 card tarot reading she did answered 5 different questions I had; they all were related in a way. Its freaky.

congradulations! Also, thanks for the help earlier. Don't know much about scrying, or anything magic for that matter, but sounds like his eye to me.:viking:

Perhaps Frigga was leading you to her husband? :) Although, on a similar note, when I first met Frigga in meditation, I noticed that she seemed to have rather large eyes. Not inhumanly large, just large for her face. Perhaps, in my subconscious, this links her to her ability as a seer. But interesting to note.
