Haven't gone in a while, but if you go be sure to attend the open circle. It was usually held up on gallows hill, some times Laurie would lead it or some times Gypsy. Go to Pickering Wharf, to The Cat Crow and Crown ask for info I am sure someone there can help. You will find that the people are open and there are many solitary that attend. Also, there are other very interesting things going on at the park (next to the Hawthorn Hotel). If you go to the circle, bring a candle, and dress warm!!! it gets cold up there. Enjoy!! everyone should try to go at least once. Blessed Be!!

I'd like to go to Salem for Samhain someday, just to experience it once. My wife and I went over Memorial Day weekend, and we had a fantastic time. We missed getting a tour of The Friendship, we barely had time to do most of the Peabody Essex Museum. The Yin Tu Tang house rocked, and the House of Seven Gables was cool, too.
As for shopping, Gypsy's store at Pickering Wharf was my favorite shop, and Goddess Treasure Chest was nice. Laurie Cabot's store was okay, but I got to hand it to her - serious props for her "Find Lost Objects" incense. All we have to do is shake the bag and we find what we're looking for.

We had lunch at Victoria Station, which was very good, but if anybody here goes to Salem, you have to have breakfast at least once at Red's Sandwich Shop. And the mall has a great Thai restaurant.
I wonder if the Salem Chamber of Commerce will send me a few bucks for all this? :hehehehe:
I completely understand folks from the area getting "outta Dodge" for a while. I live in a beach town at the Jersey shore, and it's mayhem every summer weekend.
Still, just once might be nice. Although I'm all too aware it may be quite enough as well. :woah:
