Why do I let my mother watch Buffy?! Oh my gods, I swear she was about to conduct a raid on my room by the end of the program (until the burning and demon thingy), and of course I was the one who turned it on in the first place... Sheesh... Ah well no sage in my room :bigredgri Funny thing is she doesnt bat an eye to Charmed, but she wont let me watch B'witched (honest it's for a paper! :bigredgri :bubbles: )!
Ah well it keeps me on my toes atleast, the only book that was within her reach was Jaguar Wisdom, and that one isnt too bad. The only others that where in there where mine and coded. Thank the Lady for replacement alphabets.
Any one else have this problem when their parants watch TV with them?

Star Trek is definitely a bad influence it is part of the reason I became an Engineer. Unfortunately I don't get to play with warp cores or deflector dishes, I try to explain to stupid tiawaneese people why their products are crap. Ah well
Buffy is a great show, did your mom see the one that was on last week where all the parents got together to burn the witches? I guess they threw that in so that people wondering "who the funk is Amy" had the proper backstory to work her into the plot!

Sometimes my parents wonder what the world I see in the shows I like (e.g. Buffy!), but I don't think they've ever worried about it or wanted to invade my privacy because of a show. Mind you, the don't know I watch Queer As Folk and Kink... 8O :D
Come to think of it, I think the only common shows that enjoy with my parents are NYPD Blue (Dad) and Coronation Street (Mom). It's my Mom's fault I like Coronation Street! I'm sure she watched it when I was in her womb!! :D

Mothers Opposed to the Occult. It was the name of the organisation on the burning episode, which I was talking about earlier.

My mother enjoyed watching Charmed with me when I was home for Thanksgiving! She had a ton of questions. I've never told her that my chosen path is Wicca, and she never batted an eye when I was able to fully answer and expound upon the more withcraft based questions!
But then, I think she mainly enjoyed looking at Cole.:p

Oh gods and thats another thing! I cant watch x-files with her cause she is always saying how cute mulder is! I thought it would have ended when he left but now its all about how much cuter mulder was than this new guy! ACK! Any way... Ya I have fallen for that once, except it was always my brother who would ask the questions, and every time I would say I really didnt know he would respond in a clear Loud voice "Oh come on your into all that stuff arent you?" with our mother just a few feet away! Oh I hated him for doing that!

Never had the problem with my mom, though a friend's mom who helped homeschool me tried to stop me from watching Trek. She swore it was full of 'New Age bullhockey'.
And there's absolutely nothing wrong with watching X- Files for Mulder...That was the only reason I watched it after it got stale.

Laughing, cause it seems to be a girl thing so I feel silly about complaining about it. That and I have heard most of these arguments from my mother and sister when they watch x-files together... Oh and I had a joke but after cafeful consideration I decided not to post it, it was a funny one though!
