At a local magic supplies store that I quite often visit, I found this gorgeous necklace about two months ago. For some reason it just leapt out at me, appealed to me... it is, basically, a pentagram inside a waning moon. The moon aspect of the necklace has a celtic design weaving through it, and the pentagram has a small crystal at its centre. It is quite unusual to look at, and unusual also in the fact that generally it isn't the type of jewellery I usually like. Anyway, at the time that I found it at the back of a small display cabinet, I had no money and figured that it would probably sell before I could afford it, so I soon forgot about it.
A couple of weeks later, I went into the store and, sure enough, it was still there, but a lot of the others weren't. Again, I really wished that I could get it, but didn't.
For the weeks following, I kept on visiting and revisiting the store to watch the necklace, until I'm sure the owners thought I was a bit crazy! hehe Finally though, last week, I decided I would buy it. Since then, I have worn it every day, it seems that I can't bear to take it off. I just like the feeling of it near my heart wherever I am. I know, it's quite strange... but I knew of all the people and places I could share this with, mysticwicks would be it...
I suppose it is just one of those rare occasions where something feels like it is 'meant to be for you'. When I wear it I seem to feel at peace, and it seems almost that it brings a lot of positive energy my way. In recent months I have been in a very dark place but now it seems to be melting away, I am feeling better about myself, have had many fortunate things happen to me, and have seen the end of some of the causes of my being so down. I don't know why I'm attributing it all to this necklace, but I feel it is somehow the cause.
