This thread is for listing graphics, images and art that we can use for the class. You may also reference websites that offer these. It actually may be easier to do the latter.
If you have personal artwork that you’d like to contribute to help the class, you may post that here as well.
I will post images and links from time to time. So come here when you need something. I will try to keep a good variety of things.
**Important** There has been a lot of talk recently about artist copyright. I reviewed a few artists and found a couple that allow their art to be used for signatures and such. The only rule of thumb is that credit be given to them and usually a link to their website.
For the purpose of this class, I want to refrain from using art that is questionable. If you have information about an artist that you wish to use, please let me know before you use their work. I want to keep this class from getting attention from the “copyright police” if you take my meaning. Let’s keep it legal and fun!
Plus, there are plenty of images and photographs on the net that are okay to use.
Basically, all I ask is that you respect the artist copyrights and follow them - at least for the purpose of this class. Every art piece that I use will be accompanied by the artist’s name. If you decide to use something in your signature, please include a link to the artist’s website and credit to the artist. That’s the basic rule of thumb. I researched the list of artists below. The stuff on those sites are okay to use as long as you follow the rule of thumb I just mentioned.
Here is a list of artists we may use for this class:
Lindsay Archer

Jonathon Earl Bowser

Jessica Galbreth

Darien Gerke

Marjolein Gulinski

Stephanie Pui-Mun Law

David Adams

If all else fails,
www.google.com (click on 'images' before searching)
www.yahoo.com (click on 'images' before searching)
You may do the same with other search engines too. Although these two are the ones I mostly use.
