My friend has been activated...

I just spoke to my friend and her husband just got word that he has been activated. He is going to be deployed in January. Where he is going exactly and for how long we don't know yet. All I do know is my friend is heartbroken and so are their four young daughters!:( Well, the only good thing is that at least he will be home with his family for the holidays. I'm just so upset for them and needed to share.

Thanks all for your support and thoughts. It really means a lot to me!

My friend has been crying since she got the news...they haven't told the children yet...they are waiting till after the holidays. Her husband, though, is ready...he's been mentally and physically preparing for this for a while now. He's a veteran of the Gulf War so he knows what to expect.
