I love them but the good ones we are not allowed to use here in Utah, but the shows on the 4th and the 24th are good and the ones they use while the state fair is on, they are very beautiful!:woot:

I LOOOOOOVE fireworks. I haven't used them for any craft, just 'cause I haven't thought about it. GREAT IDEA! For the 4th this year, all of kids (yes I'm grown, I think anyway) got this remote controll monster truck and we had about $150 worth of fireworks. Well, the plastic of the truck kept catching fire, so we'd drive it for a few seconds after everything blew up, all on fire, then run go put it out. The truck actually lasted through all the fireworks. But it was this rolling melted blob of plastic by the end. FUN FUN FUN!!!!

Ditto on that. But it is almost Guy Fawlks Day, in England. I miss the whole thing.

Unfortunately I'm kind of indifferent to them unless they're just so spectacular, usually the only ones we get around here are just so weak and sucky

I love making things go bang. :steppy:
On a more serious note, they are very beautiful if handled correctly.

Yes I like them. I like watching them when it's New Years Eve, or if a special event is going on in our city or town or what have you. But i'm not obsessed!

I generally like them, but I get a bit annoyed at how they are going off all the time around this time of year. This year i'll be sitting at home making sure the dog is ok. He used to tremble so badly that his claws clattered on the floor, but he just seems agitated by them now and he's constantly looking for where the noise came from. If he's in the garden and one goes off he comes running in so fast it makes me laugh. So much for him being a guard dog, he's such a scaredy cat.

I'm indifferent.
I haven't seen a spectacular show in a very long time...nor do I get a thrill from setting them off myself.

I like fireworks although living on the 8th floor with bottle rockets shooting into your house is not fun. :holycow:

I do like fireworks and the whole Guy Fawkes story, but I can't love them because I don't like the really noisy ones. Shame. I tend to stick to sparklers unless I go to an organised display.

i think the age you can buy them in the uk should be changed from 18 to 21 because people who are iresponcible do stupid things like fire them at people... and even stupider things like fireing them into horses stables and chaching it on fire and injuring the horse so badly that it needed to be put down... grr true story

I find them boring unless they are misused and dangerous.
StormVixen

or just apparently dangerous... if they were actually being dangerous it would not be any fun at all... i would hurt!
a bit of risk is good... but... taping 5/6 rockets together then trying to light them so they go off at the same time is not reccomended... nor is sticking a roman candle up your... um... bumholio... and fireing out sparkles!

I love fireworks, they are soooo very pretty......oooooh awwwwww.....:woot:
I've never done the rocket thing no, but in school we used to send notes up with balloons. It was neat, and sometimes we would get a reply, Because the notes had a return address to the school. It was kinda fun.
But I do like the idea of the spell and the fireworks, might have to try that for...um let's see... reason to have fireworks... ooooh oooh I got one..... Cause I feel like it..... yeah that's good......go firewords go, sparkle, and twinkle, and fly, and shimmer, and ooohhh,,, awwwwww......
Alright I'm done:bubbles:

*blink* :weirdsmil ... I must confess, I'm one of those people who look at them and go 'ooohhh' ...
I like the idea of sending a message up to the stars ... kind of like Gene Roddenberry, the creator of Star Trek, whose ashes were fired into space weren't they... though i doubt if your average firework could quite get that high.
But idiots who set off random fireworks 'just cos it makes a loud bang hur hur' at all hours of the night, they do dserve to be stomped on by a giant foot from the heavens.
