Don't need to use condoms anymore. Hubby had a vasectomy right after we got married (we decided the cats were enough for us) ;)

*But* I'm a firm believer in the use of condoms (even if on the pill) unless you *really* know your partner. It's just common sense--not just for avoiding unwanted pregnancies, but to prevent potentially deadly STD's.

One of my still-single gal pals *always* carries a condom or two in her purse. As she tells me, she prefers to take responsibilty for herself and cover her own ass. She even has one that glows in the dark--LOL!

I think we definitely need more options for birthcontrol.. especially for guys.

It seems like they only have two options.. wrap it or snip it.. three if you include abstinence.

snipping isnt good unless you never want kids, and wrapping it as condoms currently aren't all that.. isn't very fun.

Would I pay out the yin yang for the ultimate condom? For the ultimate anything.. I'd pay a great deal.. but i'm not sure how much.

Well, this guy still believes you really should not be doing it until you want to have kids. Or, at least married, or life parters etc. But, I see that I'm one of few who stills believes this way. So, in today's world, I would say that unless you want to have a kid use every type of protection out there, for both men and women.

You're not the only man to feel that way. After having my share of casual sex (yes, I used protection), I found it pleasurable but shallow. Sex between lovers or spouses is so much better for the obvious reason that it really is love, tenderness, friendship, intimacy, sharing life and lives, etc. and not just rubbing genitals together. At that level, it's human and not just animal.

The bonus is when the couple is otherwise chaste --i.e., having sex only with each other. Then, condom use is optional (depending upon the needs and desires of the couple) rather than a requirement for preventing unwanted preganancy or disease or death.

So, yes, I agree with your post and I therefore also practice chastity -- not totally giving up sex (which is celibacy) but not engaging in it unless I am with a lover or if I ever get married again.
