Ok, I don't really know where this belongs, so move it if you need to ^_^

I'm looking for a tartan patter, the rose clan, and I've found it. However, I don't know where to actualy buy fabric of it... any ideas? Thanks ^_^ :bouncybob

I'm sure you have tried this already but if you Google "Rose tartan" you may find some sites that sell the pattern by the yard, if not you can get measurements & order a kilt which can be expensive & take a long time.

I've been looking for my SO's family tartan for awhile now. You've just gotta keep hunting. I have yet to find a place in the USA that has or can get his clan's tartan.

I found this a while ago before I bought my kilt. It seems to be a good reference.

$700+ for a kilt :hairraise

But $500+ for 9 yards of the fabric & have someone in the US make it. Which will cost the same amount.

Are they always this expensive?

Problem is, there's 2 rose clans, and that's not our tartan... *sigh*

Yup, they're extortionate. But they do last a lifetime.

Not sure if this will help, but my dad found his family's tartan and bought a traditional kilt here: http://www.garbtheworld.com/ However, their customer service is severely lacking.
