Konnichi Wa to All:
Ichiban Te ni Itamemasu!
Recently, I have come down with a Very Painfull Attack of Rheumtism in the Flexors of my Left Wrist!
My wrist has been Painfull for quite a while, but having done a lot of typing lately has made it really worse!
I have a Chinese Traditional Medecine Cayenne Chilli Plaster Patch on it and I have taken a couple of Robaxacets (I find that the Methacarbomal in Robaxacet really helps Rheumatism).
I do realize that Rheumatism is a Chronic Ailment from which there is no Permanent Cure. But I am asking if anyone might have some good remedies that they could suggest.
I do know from experience that Swimming is Nature Hot Springs, like at the nearby Harrison Lake, is good for Rheumatism, but I want to see if anyone else has some other bits of Good Advice to give me.

Do you carry a buckeye or ever wear a copper bracelet? They seem to help some.

Konichi wa, Ogenki desu ka?
Reiki ;-) . Ah.... aside from that... Don't really know as I haven't had much dealings with it.
The Cayenne powder patch makes sense; applying warmth to the injury.
They make these nice patches that warm up and you can stick just about anywhere... Perhaps those would help, too?

Here's what worked for me:
5-ml tincture made from 2 parts willow bark and 1 part each of black cohosh and nettle taken three times a day.
To relieve muscle tension, rub a tincture of lobelia and cramp bark on the affected area.
Bogbean, black cohosh, celery seed, meadowsweet, yarrow: A complex capsule or infusion.
Wild yam or guaiacum: Add or use separately when there is severe inflammation.
St. John wort: Oil or ointment can be rubbed into pain areas.
Lavender, marjoram, rosemary, peppermint: A mixture of essential oils for passage.
Buchu and sarsaparilla: For chronic rheumatism.
Paraguay tea : Infusion.
Fireweed : Oil to be applied to painful area.
Balm of Gilead : Ointment for pain.
Couchgrass: Use root in decoction.
The weather has a lot to do with it do. Cold, and damp don't mix well with rheumatism. So keeping your wrist warm should help a lot. When its my wrists that are bothering me I found that even running them under hot water from the kitchen sink helps. Warmth can do wonders.

A Pagan known as Bill MC of BowlandCentral.com suggested just that. I will have to consider going to the shops and pick up a Copper Bracelet.

Konnichi Wa to All:
Naorimashita!
On a couple of Message Boards, a few people recommended something called Devil's Claw. I was advised to boil it and make a Tea out of it.
So I went down to Galloways, my Local Herbalist, and asked for Devil's Claw. The Owner of the store, an East Indian Herbalist, pointed me to his stock of something called "Devil's Claw Root Powder". I bought it.
I took it home and last Tuesday Morning, I put a Teaspoon of it in my Morning Orange Peko Tea. I then took out a Fine Mesh Strainer and strained out the Devil's Claw Pulp. I then put in a Teaspoon of Sugar and some Milk.
It tasted Tart and Very Sour. :???:
But after another Teaspoon of Sugar, I got it down.
Then about a hour later, my Pain started to go away!
:D
For the rest of the day, my Pain slowly subsided until it was about 85% Gone.
:D
I then got home and wrote several multi page Essays on Nature Worshipping for my Pagans forum of BowlandCentral.com. I was able to type for as long as I wanted without any Pain!
:D
Then on Wednesday, I had another cup of Tea with Devil's and did some Heavy Work moving around a couple of Refridgerators.
Today, I got up, had my Cup of Devil's Claw Tea for the 3rd day in a row. I then got geared up and went to the Gym.
I was able to do a 2 and a half hour Workout in the Gym without any Pain whatsoever! I can Workout again for as much as I like because of the Devil's Claw Powder.
This Devil's Claw is Great. It has gotten rid of all my Aches and Pains!
:D

Since becoming Unemploied, I have stopped taking Devil's Claw since I am Not Working right now.
I only needed to take it to get Work done, but since I have no Work at the moment, I am not taking it anymore.
