ok, so i'm not new to "the craft" for lack of a better word. i dont like giving msyelf lables and all that jazz. but i've been practing for a long time. everything i know i've been "tought" by my guardians. they teach me, and i follow. so my question is this...ive always had a connection to animals. a strong one. mainly snakes and the like, and the dragon. i have a tattoo of a rattlesnake on my back/neck that i believe helps protect me. i always tell people he will "bite" if they get too close with bad intentions. hehe. but anyway. does that mean something?? i've been known as the snakelady for years..it's just something i never really thought about till i started practicing again. i dont know if i should look into it or just i dont know. they come to me in my dreams, and in my magick. they are always there, almost guiding me. can you have a serpant as a guide?? but thanks for reading this and for taking the time to read it!

It's possible you have a empathic link to animals. It's also possible that they're just drawn to you. Have you looked into druidity? That path may be able to help you.

If you're drawn to snakes, its entirely possible that one could manifest itself as your guide. It's always good to look into the things that pull at you. :) They are usually doing so for a reason!!

It's as possible to have a snake for a totem or guide as it is to have any other animal. I do alot with snake energy. They are very close to me. You're fortunate to have them around you, snakelady23.

I agree with Semi.
I have a snake for a totem myself and I love'em.
If you need some links for snake totems let me know, I have tons bookmarked on my favorites :)
I learned a lot by reading about their history, lore, symbolism and such. Very helpful.

Perhaps they continue to manifest them selves to you, show up in dreams, catch your eye even when not looking, and seem to appear, that they have something they want you to know. Afetr reading your post, i believe you know this already, but maybe you require reassurance?
I think snakes and snake magick has something to teach you.

You mean what they snakes are telling you by coming in dreams and things? Like Symbolism wise and such?
Or about Snake totems and Snake animal guides?
I can get you tons of links about them, if you wish. I just have to know what exactly :)
