View Full Version : A change in my visual meditation

This is so silly, I can't even believe I'm starting a thread about it.
I've been doing the same visual meditation for at least 3 years now.
I start out the same way everytime, I'm standing at a gate on a dirt road. When I open the gate, I open it away from me. ALWAYS away from me, but I never paid much attention. I've done it for so long, I just do it.
Well last night, I opened the gate towards me. It freaked me out so much I couldn't continue. :hmmmmm: Why would I act like that? LOL It's just a gate.
I feel like this is supposed to mean something, but yeah - I'm not seeing it...

Opening away from you means that you're heading out... Opening in towards you means something's heading in... I would freak out too and be on guard untill I knew what it was that was seeking entrance.

Sounds like your warning bells went off. Proceed with caution. I think Xentor hit the nail on the head with his post.

That sounds creepy! I think Xentor is on the right track.

I think everyone is right. Use extreme caution, and set up protection, especially, if you are having guests for the holidays.
That gate is the thresh hold for you to leave everything behind and utilise the meditation.
Good luck!

Wow, thanks so much for posting! LOL I felt like a total goober for even posting it.
Well there has been some odd things happening in the house lately. My bedroom door opened by itself this week. The odd thing was I woke up right before it happened - scared the crap out of me. This is something that hasn't happened in the 2 months we've been back at my mom's - although it happened regularly several years ago).
Of course we watched Amnityville Horror yesterday so my Cowardly Lion has come back... "I do believe in spooks, I do believe in spooks, I do, I do, I do believe in spooks" lol
We went on a trip to Oklahoma this past weekend, but nothing bad happened.
I haven't meditated since that silly gate opened the wrong way. *shrug* I'll keep guard
Thanks again for the replies.

I wrote this post 1 year ago today. I haven't meditated since. My sister asked me today why I don't mediate anymore and I knew that I posted about it on here so I came to look at it.
A year ago today...
this is creepy to me

Now that everyone had told you that the skys falling and that theres monsters hiding in every shadow, so dont dangle your foot over your bed while your sleeping because the booger man's going to drag you under,
*quick run and hide*!
lets actually think logicaly for a minute.
You've been using the exact same visuale meditation for 3 solid years, not once has it changed from the first time and you find this normal?
I say its about time that something in it has changed, What isn't normal is how you reacted to that change, not that it did change.

No, the beginning of the meditation was never different. That's not the part that ever mattered. The part that mattered was when I got to my 'spot'. That's where it was different everytime, that's where it changed.
The gate represented me entering into my personal, secure, gated area. Yes, it scared the crap out of me when the gate open towards me, like something was leaving MY safe area.
Thank you for your input one year after that happened.
