Elk, dead bones, and swastikas, oh my!

I had a very weird dream this weekend. Very. I've been puzzling over this all weekend and thought it might be time to give it to a fresh set of minds to see what they puzzle over.

In the dream, I'm on vacation with my parents. I can't remember the reason why I went, but I did and I wasn't happy. The place was more like a prison then a vacation and I, along with everyone else that was there, knew this (and there was a very large group of people there - almost everyone I knew plus many more.)

So I want to leave. But I'm stuck. I can't figure out what to do. Nothing seems to be working. Finally, I go to the cabin I'm in and to the upper level. There's two back doors in this cabin and I'm specifically told that only the back door on the top level works (for me at least. And I remember a lot being said about coming in the front door and leaving the back. It seemed important.)

I'm climbing up the stairs to the top level. At the top, I see this huge elk. He has a huge set of antlers and is very impressive to me. He directs me to a pile of bones on the floor and shows me how to arrange them -- in the style of a swastika. Only, it's not like the nazi swastika, which is at an angle. It's straight up and down.

He tells me that I have to use all their rage and hate to move on, then he leaves. And I guess how it works is that i have to lie down on the bed of bones and dream until I feel the door open and that's when I can escape.

And I did.

It just doesn't make much sense to me. Use rage and hate to move on? With bones and a swaskita looking design? Um, I'm confuddled.

hmm, well perhaps the camp could mean that you are feeling stifled, being with your family and friends could suggest that there are some unresolved issues the fact that one door works only for you, could mean that you are limiting yourself with your thoughts, feelings and attitude, the elk could perhaps be a spirit guide or perhaps even be suggestive to eolh, a rune which is sometimes called the elk, the bones being arranged into a swastika, is an ancient symbol for luck, and the elk telling you to use your rage and hate could mean that you have to get these feelings out and clear the airand bring it to closure before you can move on in life. Just my opinions, hope they help.

Just to add a little bit to that I'd be completely comfortable with saying the elk is a spirit guide.
The bones signify you've recently realized there is something missing in your ways of thinking. The dread of family signifies disappointment and your friends being there symbolizes parts of yourself you've ignored or rejected.

The elk telling you to piece together your 'bones' to find a new way of thinking. That your anger and your hate all lead back to yourself....
I see hate and anger at the outside world as a valuable teacher, sounds like the elk did too. The things you hate, 9/10 if not always, you can turn that judgement around and find it within yourself, and then make peace with it.

This dream to me sounds like it's pushing you to a new way of thinking, and resolving some emotional issues.

Ultimately, you'll have to find love and compassion to move forward.
