Reading for Dagda!

Hi Dagda,
I decided to start a new thread as I was unsure where to put this reading for you and thought that you may like others input too.
I'm not really sure about the reading becasue I felt that the cards were so different but I'll tell you what I got and hopes its ok with you ~ I asked the card hows Dagda's relationship's going to go? (I dont know why I didnt ask relatiosnhip but I know you have men problems at the moment (like me too ~ I knew there was a reason I kept on gettign drawn to you!) so that probally why I asked.
I used the Queen of Pentacles as your significator.

Past: the Magician ~ This card shows a young man at a cross roads with a chalice, wand, sword and pentacle on a rock infront of him ~ he had got all he need sfor his journey ahead of him ~ just needs to make the choise which path to take. He is pointing upwards with his left arm, index finger and pointing downwards with his right arm, index finger and looking to his right side 9the past). The terrain around him is rocky and mountainous ~ he has travelled far within himself but still has further to go.
You know this card! You've had all you need in the recent past and felt alot more togther and confident with life, but maybe life has been a bit complicated because of all the paths that you have been given to choose from. Maybe you thought you had finished going down some roads (your ex) only to learn you still have an option to continue with that path, and this has led to confusion.
I get a strong sense of choosing and confusion from this card ~ but it may be that you are very sure which path to take and are already heading down it. You certainly have everything with you for a strong powerfull journey!

Present: The Devil ~ This card shows the god Pan, the horned god - playing with two lovers on a lease. they are in kind of a tunnel and he is blowing his horn while toying with his two naked lovers.
This was the confusing one for me ~
He warns of scandal, lust, depression and I think he is telling you to release yourself from a situation that may be of a sexually deceptive nature. Maybe you are being toyed with or thinking about having an afair or maybe you think someone is being unfair and treating you badly ~ Im not sure because I dont know your life... Does it ring any bells for you?

Near Future: The ten of Pentacles ~ This card shows a happy family surrounded by fruitfullness and two coloumns with all the pentacles on. A man and woman are nuturing a baby and a boy is playing with a golden horse infront of them. Behind the family is a big lake and green grassy hills ~ what a beautiful happy card!
This I think is saying ~ that you should not despair as love and happiness is round the corner ~ maybe you have made the right decision (path) and sorted out the devil or maybe you still have to. But as a result you will be loved and in love and very happy with all aspects in your life! :)

Outcome: Eight of Swords ~ This card shows a young boy in turmoil (his hands raised up) surrounded by swords and being harrassed by three medusa/dark winged creatures ~ they are just about to get him when this big mighty angel with golden wings comes to the rescue and stands over the boy for protection.
I think this card shows that maybe some difficulties may come back and spoil the happy loving picture again or that they have ~ but you will/do have the strength and power to deal with this and overcome any problems. It may be hard at first but your own love, self power and happiness is so strong that you will gain and learn from this situation. Be strong and Positive!

alot of it is right on the money, and don't feel bad that the cards are "different" ....that kind of thing happens alot in my readings....maybe because I'm so diverse!! :D


Okay, after that early morning call from the ex- I found out from his sister (sho is a very close friend of mine) that He is going to Divorce his wife of 6 months. (he left me ....to give it one more shot with her....and he knew it wouldn't work, but married her anyways....dumbbutt!!) I knew it wouldn't last long. I also knew that it was something he felt he had to do, so there were no hard feelings along those lines. Now, however, I'm in a relationship, that isn't as satifying as it could be. I feel it's all about sex and appearances. I know the guy loves me, but he has an odd way of showing it. I'm just not as happy with him as I was with the ex. I do love the guy, but it's not the passionate love I have for the ex, and he knows it.

Now, your 8 of swords is much different from the 8 of swords I have with the Robin wood deck. In my deck a woman is blindfolded and in rags, and tied to a sword with a red ribbon/binding. She is standing and her hands are bound behind her back. The other 7 swords are standing upright, stuck in the ground also. (hilt's skyward) the background is dark and ominous. The background is of the sea shore, with lots of cliffs/rocks in the water and on land. She is standing at the beaches edge with puddles of water around her...her feet are on earth. You can see rays of light coming out of the dark impending clouds.

To me this tells me that at the moment, my hands are tied. I have to accept what is going on around me, but not to disrupt my surroundings. Since swords relate to communication, I feel I'm bound not to voice my opinions. I am to stay out of the way. I feel this is a somewhat depressing card, but there is hope shining through. The water isn't chaotic in the background, so the emotional involvement isn't too intense to handle. Near the girls feet, are the puddle that you see the reflection of the clouds. The clouds are the light, uplifting and fluffy type...so is this reflecting my spirit or the spirit of the situation?

The book "the Tarot Companion" sums this card up as saying "The Eight of Swords indicates a type of bondage. This bondage is likely to be verbal in nature as the person in question is not able to say what is on his or her mind. There seems to be a sense of entrapment where the person is not able to move because of prevailing circumstances that are the result of decisions made in the past."

I do have some confusion right now. I don't know it the ex would come back, but if he did, I have a lot of thinking to do. I am trying to prepare myself in any event. I would like him back in my life, but I don't want to hurt the man I'm with, even though things aren't what I hoped they'd be with him.

I know for now I am just sitting back and not interferring with the ex-'s business, (emotions, attitudes...anything) I figure if he wants me back he'll come back. If not, I still have the guy that I'm with...and I can go on for a bit longer with him. (Unfortuneately, I know I'm the type that gets too lonely with a partner....so, I jump from relationship to relationship. I have had periods that I just had to be on my own and work on myself. so, I think I'm pretty balanced. I know what I need...and when :D)

You and me sound very alike! I have had quite a history of jumping form one relationship into another.. I'm 23 and only really been on my own for a total of 6 months since properly dating (and always had long term relationships that have been filled with love but fizzled out after a few years) I'm actually back with my first love now!!! and very very very happy :D ~ I too have always been happy sharing my life with someone and still found myself and found time to be with myself in these relatioships. So I know what you mean :)

Great you 'got' my reading and also used your own cards ~ i'll take on board your bondage description of the 8 of swords as it does really fit. Cant wait to get my copy of the Companion!

I'm getting an interesting past present future spread for you Dagda.

I'm a weird one who reads in reverse if they come out that way.
For past I got The Emperor reversed which means you had pretty much given up hope on your ex and moved on.

For the Present = The five of Pentacles reversed which leads me to believe you're kind of relieved it didn't work out for him. No let me change that I KNOW YOU ARE RELIEVED!!!!

Future = The Hermit reversed warning to be cautious! As always with the Hermit take it slow but also when it's reversed be a little more cautious and make realistic changes!

All this coming from the 25 year old lady with 9 years of experience...and painful experience at that!!!

Well, you asked how accurate it was. Mostly, I could agree, except with the present. I wasn't relieved at all, I am still pining away for him. I feel/felt, that he was the one....who knows..... I found out the other day he's getting a divorce. I don't want to start a relationship with him again until she is out of his life on a more permanent basis. I would love nothing more than to have him back in my life. I could see the need for caution!! other than that, the past was accurate, I'd given up hope the day he got married.....the future....caution is always advisable!!

In the present I got that you were relieved that things did not work out for him, not with him. To clarify, you are relieved to know the relationship he was or is in with the other woman has failed or is failing. I don't think I made myself clear on that the first time.
