I was hoping someone could help me out here. Are there any books or sites that just are about magic, it's just every site i've looked at always gives it from a wiccan point of view e.g. 3 fold law, karma, etc. I don't have anything against wicca since it's a path i'm looking at but i'd like to see something just about witchcraft without a religion.

My favorite spell book is The Element Encyclopedia of 5000 Spells.
These are from all over the world, in the intro she mentions certain religious asp[ects but the whole thing is filled with nothing but spells, all kinds, even the ones no one likes talking about, let alone doing....

Not everyone believes that witchcraft isn't a religion, magick and witchcraft are two different things. Having said that, there are tons of books with just spellcraft, or you could look into pisonics (sp). I think your best bet would be to look into energy manipulation before you attempt spellcraft, because you focus and control will be more advanced and your results will be better.

It is my absolute favorite. I have read it cover to cover twice and I'm working on a third time. I told that to a friend of mine as she held the great big Tome in her hands. She looked at it, and looked at me and said "how bored were you then?"

If you just want a book on "raw magick", without any particular view being put forward, then try Jan Fries' excellent "Visual Magick", published by Mandrake of Oxford - it is superb, and I suspect, just what you are looking for.

Patricia Telesco's books have no religion in them, from what I've seen. She writes about kitchen witchcraft and folk magic, without any mention of religious beliefs. I have her book "How to be a Wicked Witch," its pretty good for spell casting and magic, but I tend to prefer more religious books myself.

I have both the both the books being talked and they are both good reads and quiet helpfull. Judika Illes has a few other books that you may want to take a look at as well, The Element Encyclopedia of Witchcraft and EMERGENCY MAGIC! 150 Spells for Surviving the Worst-Case Scenario.
