I have read about having a special drawer or box with treats for yourself. And I personally am all over the house at diff times of the day and my stuff is everywhere I am not, or I have to stop to get stuff and sometimes its a pain or I am being lazy!!!
So today I had a brainwave...an At-Home Self-Care Basket!!!

I grabbed a medium sized basket with a good handle I had laying around the house and added:

My Faerie Oracle cards in their bag and the book that goes with it
hand lotion
lip balm
sticks of my favorite incense (I have holders everywhere or I would have added one of those as well)
my knitting
my embroidery (whats one the hoop and 1 extra skein)
one of those soft covered cd cases with my favorite quiet CD's in it
a small spiral note pad & pen (for jotting things down)
the book I am currently reading
a pouch of herbs and gem stones
and my soft stuffed Fairy Bear (to make me smile)

I can also throw my smokes and lighter in there when moving from room to room.
My day has seemed easier, I am more tempted/and it is easier to care for myself, put on a nice CD, light an incense, use some handlotion and knit or embroider for a break.
Its not heavy and I can take it anywhere an i have the stuff at hand that I want/need.

Make yourself up one, its great!!!

Oooh I like that idea!
I could never do it though, the only problem is that it would encourage my horrible procrastination! Hehe

I like that idea but I would need a MASSIVE basket!!! I do have a bag with the majority of my favourite things in though but a basket sounds more attracive and you can get to what you want.

You must live in a pretty big house:lol:
Nah, seriously...I had a therapist once who carried around all her belongings in a basket (including her wallet). I thought it a cool idea. Isn't that how we used to carry things around long ago? I'm still looking for a certain style of baskets. Just can't do that in public too much because of pick-pocketers.:)
I do like your idea though!

Actually I do
What are watercolor miniatures?
Watercolour paintings in miniature  my paintings don't get any bigger than
5 x 7, but the usual size is 2 x 3 or 3 x 4

I saw this once on Christopher Lowell's show when he did someone's bedroom over. It's actually a great idea to start for someone else for a gift, too. I think I might do that for Yule/Xmas gifts. Just *start* a basket with some num-nums, some slippers and a few items I know they'd enjoy, then add a note saying they are to add more to it at their leisure and use the basket to find their fave stuff from now on, taking it room to room if they need.
