Does your partner or even child own something you wish they would just throw out already! But they refuse to?

For me its a Tree. It's so ugly. Not a real tree. I think its a pen holder tree stump. It's no novelty!

Well, geez, you could offer to let people check more than one option. haha

I'd say the whole extended family, while some are far (!) neater than others, could stand to part with a few items -- even my mother (and one could eat off her floors at any given time, so to speak).

Unless you're talking about my art supplies (tee hee), I'm the opposite of a pack rat though. I feel most comfortable in extremely sparsely decorated/filled surroundings.

Dh has a shirt he bought right before his senior yr of high school...OMG...it's a hideous turquois and purple western style shirt. He hasn't worn it in forever, but I'm always afraid he'll pull it out one day to put it on. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v311/bpv104/smilies/M%20to%20Z/scared2.gifhttp://img.photobucket.com/albums/v311/bpv104/smilies/M%20to%20Z/scareu.gif

Dd keeps EVERYTHING....so there's lots of stuff I'd like for her to get rid of. Weekend before last she was gone with her grandma & I filled half of our big outside trashcan with stuff from her room....and she never noticed it missing!

All three of my kids are packrats. I have to sneak in and throw stuff away or our home would be full of everything they cant bear to part with. They even save the boxes from lego sets! I had to steal my daughter's garbage because although she had put the candy wrappers in the garbage pail in her room, she liked seeing them there and wouldnt empty it.

Pretty soon I have to do the annual toy cull to make room for the bounty coming on Christmas and I just *know* someone is going to claim they cant live without some ridiculous thing I threw away and cry about it. Its a ruthless job being a mum!

Everything in the garage, almost everything in the closets. Who the hell has a 1967 Manhattan phone book and why is there any reason for keeping it. I don't care if it does have Woody Allen listed. It's still pointless. There is no use for a Betamax player or an 8 track either. The garage is full of stuff like that and my dad wonders why he never has any room in the house and then puts a bunch of crap in the trunk of my car.

my SO has this bright yellow shirt that I absolutly hate. and it's not just yellow, its checked I think it is called. where little black lines make little boxes all over it. However, he loves this shirt and refuses to get rid of it. Worse, he still wears it.

Now I have a pair of black converse from like the early 90's that he would love for me to get rid of. but unlike his shirt that he actually wears in public, my old converse are strictly yard shoes. I only wear them when I am mowing the lawn or something. I even change them before I run to the store.

Well if it could be a "thing" - attitudes..

I am pretty much tired of juggling attitude around here:)

other then that..junk and clutter..I am so fed up with all of it..and have really been throwing out..but it never seems that I can get rid of enough..before there is tons more :( ugghhhhh

My husband has a pair of blue sweatpants....from when he was EIGHT. He wore them while he watched the Cowboys play football and now, he won't trash them because if he does, the cowboys will lose from now on, or something like that.

Surely we're not the only ones who'd like someone to throw SOMETHING out.

I can think of a couple of outfits I prefer NEVER to see my mother wear again, although she thinks they're 'cute.' *cringes & hides eyes*

This makes me wonder what clothes I own that my own daughter wishes never to see again

Wow this list could go on...but yeah there are toys that my hubby "collects" that he thinks might be worth something one day. Like every Star Wars figure that came out for Episode 1. And just about all the LoTR figured from The Fellowship. And all the Halo 2 figures. OMG toys everywhere that no one can play with and they are just taking up room in a closet that will soon become a nursery!!!

My boys have soooo many useless toys they hardly play with from holidays and such. I go through them with the boys once in a while, but they are attached to every one! Even if they haven't touched it in months!

My roomate and her stupid hair! She sheds on everything. I don't know how she has any on her head it's everywhere!
And this from the girl who bleaches and dyes her hair monthly so my hair isn't exactly locked in there but she's still got me beat 10:1.
