Sun Deities in the Dark Time?

I have a question for y'all...If you observe the wheel of the year and consider this (in the Northern Hemi) to be the "Dark Time" do you deal with your Sun Deities at all? I know, generally this is the "God," but in my case my Goddess is Sun and God is Moon.

Do you attempt any contact with Sun God/desses at this time or do you consider them to be "sleeping or awaiting their birth?"

Do you cover/hide statues of them?

Do you still give offerings to them?

I still give offerings. It's not like Sun has actually gone away; it's just around less. However, I do try to work with Sun in ways that acknowledge that Earth - and by extension, I - is currently in a different relationship with Sun than we had in, say, May or June.
