I was wondering what type of rituals do you do. Are there any you can do to get in touch with the gods because i'd like to explore some Egyptian avenues and have recently felt drawn to Isis and Anubis, kind of. So are there any rituals that you do?
Also just one more question that's slightly off topic, i was wondering what Kemetic pagans think of the Joy of Satan site, since i don't know a lot about Egypt and that site seems to portray the Egyptian gods in a way i think isn't right, also it seems to try and say they serve Enki, which again seems like pseudo-history/lies. And it seems to try and say that the Egyptian gods hate Jews (for those that have never heard of the site, the owner is a neo-nazi) which again seems dumb since i may not have had many experiences with Egyptian gods but i don't think they could be as dumb as nazis.
Anyway i hope you can help me and Egypt and the Kemetic religion seem really cool things and both are interesting.
Thanks

Well, Kemetic Orthodoxy has the Daily Rite (also called Senut) which we are supposed to perform each day after purifying ourselves (though hardly anyone I know does senut as often as we're supposed to, except those in the priesthood). Just praying to Them works well. Learn about Them as much as you can. They usually take a keener interest in those who have an active interest in Them. Give Them offerings of cool water and maybe chocolate or something else nice to eat (except fish), or perhaps some nice essential oils or incense or music. They like all kinds of things. Just talk to Them and pray to Them. That's really all we do (as part of Kemetic Orthodoxy). There are rituals that are associated with holidays, but in general spending time with Them is all that's necessary to get Their notice.
As to what other types of Kemetics (the Isians, Egyptian Wiccans, hermetic Kemetics, and other assorted varieties and temples) do, I can't speak for them. :)
I haven't heard about the Joy of Satan site, but everything you just wrote about their beliefs as far as the Kemetic gods go is pure crap. The gods don't hate Jews. The gods do hate people who perpetuate lies and spread hatred, both of which detract from ma'at (our code of being). Ma'at is more than just a goddess. It's also the word for the concept of order, balance, justice, and truth that She embodies. Ma'at the concept is what all of the Names (gods) of Netjer (divinity) are dutybound to uphold. Things that go against ma'at are things They hate. (And this Joy of Satan bunch sounds to me like it would definitely be on Their divine shit list.)
**edited to add** Oh, and one other thing.... The Kemetic gods defintely don't serve Enki. They do have Their own divine hierarchy (and I've read that Tem is the highest ranking, and that Ptah is, and that Ra is, and that Amun is, and that Wesir is....among others) , but Enki definitely isn't anywhere on that head-honcho list.

Thanks for answering my questions. I kind of knew that the Joy of Satan was a bunch of crap and i like the idea that the site and the owners would be on the Kemetic gods 'shitlist'. Hearing that kind of makes me like the Egyptian gods even more.
Hope that made sense :)

:) It made perfect sense to me.
I never understand why Setians (I've read their website before) and this Joy of Satan site (which I still haven't looked at) feel the need to say things that fly in the face of what is known to be true if one would bother to do even the slightest bit of historical reading.
Evidently, Set's not enough of a Badass by Himself all by Himself. They have to link Him with the Christian concept of Satan. **shakes head** Ah well. It takes all kinds to make a world. Without the world's jerks, how else would we distinguish heroes and effect change?
**adding this part after the asterisks to clarify my position**
Just so readers of this thread are clear, at the time I first posted this response, I hadn't researched the Joy of Satan site for myself. I was going by what David had written of it. Please do not take this post to mean that I think Satanists are crappy people or jerks, as this is certainly not the case. I just meant *these* particular ones are jerks, because they twist information in order to say that the gods I worship hate Jews. This is just not true and it is a hateful thing to say, because I would not worship my gods if They did believe this way. So saying that They feel that way implies that *I* feel that way, too. And since this is not true, you can probably understand why I take exception to this group spouting bigoted untruths.

I agree with you :). If you want to see how dumb the Joy of Satan site is, i think the address is www.joyofsatan.com or something. She bases her beliefs on a mans work which has been completly discredited.

**whistles** Wow.
Satanism is a good path in many ways, but I'm not fond of this version of it. I wonder how other Satanist groups would feel if they knew that this group believes Satan is an alien?
For the record, Kemetics (and this time I can speak for all Kemetics, not just the Orthodox ones) do not worship Satan. Satan is not part of our pantheon (though half of us hate calling it a pantheon, because that implies that all the gods are completely separate "Many," and not part of the "One" part of the equation).
The majority of Kemetics (but not all of them) do not believe that our gods are aliens or that the ancients built the pyramids for alien beings.

I posted a thread asking the MW Satanists their thoughts on Satan as an alien. And here's what they said. (http://www.mysticwicks.com/showthread.php?p=2261362#post2261362) :)

I have personally used the rites at this site...I recommend reading it thoroughly before delving into doing the rituals. I might also suggest that you meditate before undertaking any of these. Meditate on what it is your about to embark upon.

If something doesn't feel right to you then don't do it and make sure your in a place that you feel secure.
