I'm looking for some interesting books on astrology. The ones I am finding are pretty junky. I have a few but they aren't very good. They basically take the whole book to tell you that you are a Capricorn, or Cancer and here are you attributes. They just don't get into the nitty-gritty. Any suggestions?

Well, Litha and Methanespirit can probably answer this one. I thought there was a good one called "Everything you wanted to know about Astrology." Cheesy title, but a good book. At least, I think that is what it was called.
Litha?
Methanespirit?

Marcia Moore and Mark Douglas wrote a large book entitled "Astrology" which covers not only the basics, but more esoteric aspects of astrology. Some other good books are " A Cosmic Science" by Isabel Hickey, "Horoscope Symbols" and "Planets in Transit" by Rob Hand, "Moon Signs" by Donna Cunnigham, "Solar Arcs" by Noel Tyl, anything by Dane Rudhyar, Celeste Teal, John Townley, Ronald Davison, Sophia Mason, David Pond, and the writing pairs of Marion March and Joan McEvers, Frances Sakoian and Louis Acker.

DW. What you are looking for is an instructional text on the subject, which you will probably not find in a magazine, or common book store. I suggest that you visit any bookstore that carries New Age or Occult publications. Since most such text books are not popular with the reading and buying public, you will probably have to order one, unless you can visit such a book store in any sizeable city.

I dont have any books to recommend, but my absolute FAVORITE website is http://www.bobmarksastrologer.com/
Very imformative and it shows that astrology is more than just your sun sign.

"The Only Astrology Book You'll Ever Need" is pretty good...it's easy to figure out and teaches how to set up a chart wheel, see patterns in a chart, and gives you all the definitions for all your planets and aspects. It still includes all the Sun Sign attributes too, but it goes a little more in-depth with sun sign decanates... It was one of my first books on the subject...But the title is a little misleading...you /will/ need more than this book if you want to go into any real depth! But it's a good start anyhow. :D
