someone close to me sprained his ankle recently and asked if i could help. i've been doing extra heavy research online and in my own books to make the "perfect" spell to speed the healing and ease the pain, but i was wondering if anyone had any suggestions. my supplies are limited and it has to be done on 20/12/01, but if anyone has any ideas i'm sure i'll find use for them later if not now. (note: he has been to a doctor and is doing everything his doctor told him to do.)

why does it have to be done on that specific date?

I'm sure one of the people around here who do reiki will be able to offer you some help. :)

I don't know if you will be including herbs in your spell but comfrey roots are good to aid healing of broken bones. It might not hurt to add that to your spell.

Has noone heard of arnica? 6c or 30c for regular injuries, 200c is the industrial strength for post op which may or may nmot be more appropriate. Lavendar oil would reduce swelling and bruising. Also excersing and stretching the ankle gently would increase movement and recovery time. As for healing... yes there are lots of things a trained healer could do, but an inexperienced one might actually make it worse! Its quite easy to do, when i jarred my hip i tried structuring an energy bandage of sorts before i went to my healer a couple of weeks later, and when she saw me she remarked how messed up the energy field was at my hip! Because id used some crystals on it. Anyway hope your friend gets better soon.. love and light, Justin

Get some homeopathic arnica gel, which he should rub on the ankle a couple of times a day. Comfrey ointment would also be good.

For when he's there at your place, you could try checking out the energy field around his ankle (put your hands on either side of it and let your aura interact with his). If you can feel the injury in the energy field, you can try "combing" it out with your fingertips, and put a little of your own energy into it to enhance the healing process. Then pat the field down around the injured part. (This sounds kind of silly in writing, but it's hard to write down energy management techniques. :( )

For such a charm bag, I would recomend any or all of the following herbs.

Wood Betony, Arnica, Sage leaves, Comfrey roots, rosemary, Pine resin, elder leaves, & mustard seeds.

I'm from the school of thought that the magical properties of herbs are tied in with its theraputic properties. That's why some of these would not be found in some herbal magical encyclopedias for healing.

Along with these herbs, I would recomend putting in a piece of amber, a pinch of cleansed earth, and sweet grass. You could combine these with what Rick recomended in Rune Magick II thread & scratch the runes into the amber.

Also, if you're taking elder leaves from a tree, you must ask permission first. Elder trees have very powerful magical energies but are 'tempermental'.

Some very nice ideas ;)

Good luck with your spell. I hope your friend recovers at a fast pace and with little pain.
