I have one of those goddessware stickers on my car, the season's pentacle. it is centered on the bottom of my back window, and its inside the car so people can't try to take it off. I just got back from my brother's boy scout meeting, its at a mormon church, but usually by now there is nobody but us there anyways. well, this time, we noticed a few people there for something besides the meeting, probably church business or something. As soon as i heard they were there, i was a bit afraid for my car. well, after the meeting, i got in my car and looked in my mirror to back out, when i noticed fingermarks on the window, on one side of the sticker as if someone tried to take it off, and then a word written across, it started with an S, but i already had the defrost on, so i couldn't make it out... at least they didn't damage the car, but to think that someone actually had the nerve to try to remove my sticker because it expresses a faith different from their own. The sticker is staying on the car, no matter what anyone says or does... i thought i would have more problems with my car parked in front of my house in a neighborhood that is predominantly catholic, where people walk by my house every week to go to church, but there hasn't been any problems with that. Maybe i won't take my brother to any more meetings there, if people are going to disrespect me like that...

And these people wonder why people are losing respect for their religion ? You want to know why fewer people are Christian: look at yourselves, that's what i say to 'em.

Next time you're there, hold your head up, smile, even wave, and show you aren't afraid or angry. Do the exact opposite to what they want you to do. Trust me, it unnerves cowards and fools quite easily.

The Mormons almost got throwen out of the National Boy Scout progam due to their intolerance towards other faths. Do not let those people get to you hun. As was said hold your head up and walk proud. And I am sure if you call the Boy Scout council offices, they can find you another troop or pack to take your brother. I live in Mormon land and it can get stupid with them alot of times. To preach love and family and to go and make a rude gesture like that is disrespectful and just plain wrong.

this happend to one of my coven mates when we were at the beach for litha, when we do our rituals in public places, we have made it a practice to have some one stand out side of the circle and talk to people that have questions about what we are doing and why. usually the people that come up are nice, and would like to know more about what it is that we belive. apparently this time there was a church group that came up, and from what the guy who was talking to them they seemed rather intressted in what he had to say, and were satisfied that we were infact not devil worshipers, when i got home that night there was an email from one of my coven mates about what happend to her car that evening some one had written in the dust several things like "jesus loves us and not you" "your going to hell where you belong" "satan loves you" ect. we do not know who did it, or if it was the church group or even part of them. the next day i went to check my car out cause it was parked near where the car that this happend to was, and i do have a pent and a triple goddess on the back of my car. nothing,
the last time some one wrote somthing on my car it was rather vulgar (an image of oral sex) and not just one but several all over my paint, windows, roof, i was leaveing the next day to go on vacation and i didnt have time to wash it, i had to give my car to my boyfreinds family like that, i appoligized for what some one had done to my car, when i got back he actually washed and waxed it for me (i dont know if this was because he loves to wash cars cause he threatens to wash it every time he sees it weather its clean or not) or if he just felt bad cause of what was done to it.

I'd bring that up in front of the Steak House leader type guy. Just because they disagree with you on a religous position doesn't mean that any of thier members get to vandalize personel property for any reason. If it continues I'd call the police about attempted B&E/ attempted destruction of personal/private property. Sorry to hear you had to deal with that.

Personally, I would have been thankful right now for something like that happening to my car. Mine was stolen last night while I slept, and now I can't work because of it (at least I can still go to school and ride the bus for free, but I can't take any of my cleaners to my apartment cleaning job). What I wouldn't give for a little discrimination in place of losing my ability to have an income (um, so long as the discrimination didn't cause me to get fired to have a lack of income, but you can sue for that sort of a thing).

I'm gonna assume it was a kid. The Mormons know (or think they know) how to convert people, and they don't write on their cars. If they wanted to do something they wouldn't have written on your car, they probably would have tried to talk with you. That seems more their style.
Maybe the kid was part of the church but who knows.

If I ever caught some @#$%^& vandelizing my car
I swear I'd put them in the hospital. Only if they screw with my car tho. You would NEVER see me vandelizing their car if they happened to have a bumper sticker that I didn't like. WTF is wrong with some people?

I don't have any blatantly Pagan decorations on my car. I don't want to walk out some day and find some psycho waiting to confront or (even worse) physically harm me. Plus, I enjoy having a dent free, unkeyed vehicle. Kudos to all of you who do, though.

Crap like that is why I don't express my faith in public. Called me a scary-cat, but I personally value my property as much as I do my personal life (not saying you don't, just saying...).

I give big hugs to all of you who are brave enough to proclaim your faith publicly. I am sorry that some jerk tried to do stuff to your car. It doesn't endear me to the xian faith, that's for sure.
I'm a scaredy cat too. I just think of the Burning Times, and I think of "gay bashing", and wonder when someone will comit a hate crime against a pagan.

my dad wants me to take the sticker off, so i'm afraid i'm gonna have to... i really didn't want to, i mean, people drive around with their fish on their cars all the time, and nobody does anything to them, its not fair that they can express their faith and i can't! but i can't think of anything to do about it right now, my dad doesn't want the car getting vandalised or anything, so i don't really have a choice... this really bothers me...

I've had friends whose cars were egged, scratched, and had windows and outside mirrors smashed by "christians" because of having openly pagan paraphenalia like bumper stickers. I say screw 'em, fight fight fight. Be you as openly as you want to be. This is your world so take it, live in it fully. When I get my primary car back on the road---Theda, the Deathmobile---I'm painting a skull on crossbones on the hood and Voodoo veves on other panels. I pity the fool who F's with my car. (Til then I'm driving a car with a big "princess" sticker in the back window, but we don't need to talk about that)
And keep in mind that people messing with cars like this isn't based on any religion, but on ignorance. So don't hate a group because of some ignorant people in that group. My opinion.

I don't have any bumpstickers on my car now. I did buy a couple of bumper stickers when I was in Cape Cod in Providence Town. [They have a gay/lesbian scene there, which is why I love going]. I agree that anyone who has a problem with your bumper stickers should screw off. It's a free country. If I have to keep a baseball bat in my car that's fine. I don't take s *&^ from anyone. No one f*&%^ with my car. When I do put them on my car I'm not putting them on my bumper. I'm going to put them inside, on the window so no one can touch them.
Here are the bumper stickers I bought:
-Back Off I'm A Goddess!
-God Is Coming and Boy is She Pissed
-Minds are like Parachutes, They Only Function When Open
-In Goddess We Trust
-I'm Pro Choice and I Vote
-If You Have a Problem with Abortion Don't Get One
-Freedom Of Religion Means ANY Religion
-Walk In Balance
Plus I'm getting these bumper stickers:
-My God Can Beat Up Your God
-Chaos, Panic, Disorder. My Work Here Is Done.
-What Would Loki Do?
-Heavily Medicated For Your Safety
-The Only Trouble With Baptists Is They Don't Hold Them Under Long Enough [no, i'm not putting this one on my car]
-I'm also getting an Ankh decal to put on the inside of my car window.

I've noticed people seem to be a lot more tolerant of my Kemetic religion than my Wiccan religion. When I was wiccan I gained myself a psycho christian stalker who said that I deserved to burn at the stake and then proceeded to tell me where I lived and my phone number - I never met this guy before and had no idea where he got my details from.. (I do now - as I told him I converted to christianity to get him off my back and he told me he got them from uni - so I spacked it at the uni and they changed some of their details available to students on the internet)...
I got so many funny faces/name calling etc when I was Christian.
Now I wear my Ankh and am still open about my religion, but when people ask me what religion I am I say "Kemetic Orthodox" and they ask me about it and actually listen, and tell me it sounds interesting... I still have to hear someone say I am evil/going to hell since I became Kemetic.

The Freedom of religion Means ANY Religion bumper sticker I got at the New Age Store in Red Bank, New Jersey. It's a half an hour from my house and I go there for the monthly Shamanism Journey Circles. This website has really awesome bumper stickers: http://www.witchstore.net/bumperstickers.html. Lots of Pagan and Wiccan ones. I'm ordering some from that site.

Unfortunately, I've seen quite a few friends' cars get vandalized, windows broken, tires slashed, keyed, painted on, because of their Pagan bumper stickers. I figure I'm only going to get one free car (from my parents) so I've only put a single window decal for my University on there, and that's all. Plus I'm going to be a teacher, so I try to keep my Pagan-ness under wraps, just because I don't want to deal with the hassle.

I have an ornate Celtic three way spiral static cling that I stuck to the inside of my front passenger window. I have it there for good luck to guard against serious accidents and theft, but I have had many people try to take it down from the outside simply because they thought it was something evil.
They're lucky I don't have my car alarm set on extra sensitive. I don't because it's a big hassle.
Some people do have a lot of nerve. It's too bad they don't focus it to another area in their life.
