Last night, my car was stolen. I have to have my car to work because it has all of my cleaning equipment in it (I'm an apartment cleaner in the area), and I need a car to carry cleaning equipment. I now not only have no transportation, but I have no income. This scumbag not only stole my car, but stole what little ability I have in this financially destitute area to get money to survive on. Please send energies and prayers for me to get the money to replace my car. I probably won't get much from my insurance for it, and that won't be for 30 days (right in the middle of the time I need to work to go on my internship which pays no money). I need help! I'm a college student and the next time I'll be seeing any financial aid money is June! I don't even need a good car, just one that will last me until my boyfriend moves back into the area with his car, which is next August.

Check this out! The sherrifs called and said they have my vehicle, and there is a 4x4 truck going to some obscure area (where a car dealership new car was recovered last week) to get it. Now, as of last Wednesday my radiator wasn't working right (engine makes the radiator fluid boil if I don't manage it with my heater, but it was manageable and my dad was going to pay to get it fixed). The idiots took the friggin radiator and my car battery! What luck! Now my insurance company is going to pay for it! This right after I created a sigil focusing on drawing more money to me! The insurance adjuster is going to go right now to see what damage was done, and I'm going in Monday to recover any personal items that are still there (hopefully, they didn't break into the trunk and steal my backpack vaccum and mop bucket for work). They said it will be covered because I had everything bought up to maximum (including just a $100 deductable), including towing, garaging at the towing place, repairs... 21st Century Insurance rocks!!!

Oh, and speaking of karma, that means all the idiots got is a broken radiator and a battery

glad everything worked out!
tho it would have been perfect if the battery was also on its last legs, so all they got was worthless.
Random Joy!

So what was an awful thing turned into a minor inconvenience turned into a good thing. What a wonderful affirmation this has become. I lift a glass for your good fortune.:achug:

The idiots tried to get into the trunk via the back seat by stealing the back seat. I'll know Monday whether or not they were able to take any of my work stuff, but I don't think they did.

Honestly, I've been skeptical until now of both Divine retribution and karma. I still kind of will be unless they get caught, but I'm starting to get optimistic about the possibility of karma...

:wah2: :wah: I finally saw my car a few hours ago. There is a lot of damage from what I can see, and I don't know if my insurance will cover it. I may still end up without a car. They might try to settle instead of repairing it, and the value of the car is nowhere near enough to replace the car and get me back to work. They also did end up getting into the trunk and took all my work stuff. I don't know what to do! I just need prayers, energies, whatever will get the insurance to decide to just do the repairs and get me my car back!

Oh wow! I'm sorry this happened to you! I know how it feels too! I hope your insurance company is timely and a bit on the generous side (as insurance companies go that is). I hope everything works out for you!

Yeah, I know I was to be gone according to my plans. Goddess had a different plan. (A short time away and a long story to explain).

Well, the car was declared a total loss (<sarcasm> gee, I'm suprised). Bad news is I'm only getting $1980 for it, which isn't enough to get another car with. The good news is I'm getting $1980 for it which means I just paid $20 to rent a car for 2 years... okay, and my dad paid a lot to get it fixed last year when it blew up making the 850 mile trek for me to go to school (at least it lasted long enough for me to find a place to live). Sigh. I have a rental that the insurance is covering only for this week (I had to talk them into it or I would have had to turn it back on Yule), and then I don't know what to do. I have to fill out a bunch of paperwork that they have to send me and I send it back, then they will send me the check... THEN I can go see if I can find a car that will allow me to make less than $100 per month in payments and not break down on me anytime this next year (at least). The lowest priced cars up here, used, are about $8000, and even with my dad's help, my payments would be about $180 because of my sucky credit according to the dealerships(declared bankruptcy a couple of years ago, enabling me to go back to school), and so I can't do that, yet I can't work if I don't have a car. I honestly don't know what to do. All the private sales are either other people about to declare bankruptcy (meaning their cars are $18000 to pay off their car debt), or they are students (meaning their cars are more run down than mine was, and I don't have the money to inherit those kinds of car problems... especially random ones).

you could look on craigslist for a car... i bought a car (or, rather, my parents did) from somebody that way, its a really good car, runs beautifully, and we only paid $1500 for it... just search for your price range, and if you know someone good with cars, have them go look with you, sometimes people just need to get rid of their extra car, like if they bought a new one or something... http://humboldt.craigslist.org/car/
good luck, i'm really sorry about your car, and i hope things work out perfectly for you.

You'd think I would have already thought about that since I've posted there to get roommates! Duh! Why didn't I look that one up! Thanks!
