Protection while I am way for the Holidays

I am going back to Seattle for the Holidays and leaving my boy friend with his family here in NC. I leave early tomorrow morning and I have really wanted to make some amulets for protection for the both of us. One to protect me on my travels and bring me back to him safely and one to protect him while I am away. I already have the items I am planning to use. One is a rock with a horse carved into it that he brought me when he first came to see me in Seattle a few years ago. (He gave it to me when he came off the plane.) Which will be the one I carry with me. And the other is a little pocket photo thing with two photo's of us on some of our best times. I made it for him on Valentines last year.

So, any idea how I go about doing this? I want to charge and bless these items, but I would like some thing's to help get me flowing. Ideas, other spells in relation to this. Anything, I need a little help here.

What I do is meditate on the items that I am "charging" in many rites. Usually I continue to "charge" them on a sporadic basis for a few months. Between rites I wrap the items in a sacred cloth which I dyed when I was eight or nine.

First, I "open" (ground?) the item by respecting it, honouring its past and asking for its cooperation in prayer. Then I repeat a phrase over and over and over... Then I repeat the same words in another language, over and over and over... until I eventually fall into another state of mind. Then I warp the item in my sacred cloth.


Really though, you should develop your own way of doing things (But I am sure that you already knew that -- so why didi I say it?????) :)

Well, I am still getting the feel of how I do thing's on my own. I ask these thing's because it is in my personality to learn from others and see how other people like to do things. ^^ Just my way I suppose.
