Hello,I was wondering what anyone thought about this.

All my candles were burning very brightly, and were not moving at all, except 2 of them. The candle I light that symbolizes the Goddesses magic, her gift to me,and the candle I light to symbolize her protection around my dwelling place here at home.

They were dancing wildly, and making shadows dance around from everything else. But ,none of the other ones were moving at all,not even a flinch.

They were jumping up and down,up and down, and I thought it was strange since the rest were not moving at all.But they were very bright, its just like they were frozen or something.

Does this have any significant meaning ?

I wasnt really doing anything great,I just wanted to spend time praying and being with the Goddess and God.I wanted her to know I loved her.

Thankyou for any input.

Hey Azzy! Well, I have experienced similar things with candles and it could be ANY of the following:

The wicks/wax on those specific candles are just different in some way.
There is a breeze or airflow that you are unaware of in the room where you had them that affected those candles OR
It could very possibly be the Goddess' way of letting you know she is present.
I personally prefer to believe it is the last one. The truth is, it means exactly what it means TO YOU. If you felt her presence and the dancing flame confirmed that, then that is exactly what it was.
Blessings to you always, my friend!
DK

Thanks,i read somewhere that when a flame dances wildly,it could be conflict,if its two of them.

I have also had similiar experiences with candles and I think it is a sign myself, or just a comfromation that the Goddess and God hear you. I mean when the rest of your candles arent moving at all, that would make me think that some force was doing it. I usually light alot of candles all over my room and have noticed that when I am being visited by a kinds of spirit beings, you usually notice your candles flames reacting first before anything else, well besides my kitty.:)

I agree Azzy. It sounds to me like she was telling you she was there and listening to your prayers. But different things have different meanings. I would suggest you maybe meditate on the candels and see where that leads you. Your meaning for them doing that could very well be different than ours.

I've had this happen. I use candles at my Quarters when I cast a circle and have had say the candle in the East dance when I'm concentrating on the Air Element for communication. I've also had just the Candle I light for the Goddess dance on my alter when I've called on her.

I have always just taken this as a sign that whomever is there and listening to me. :colorful:

If you're interested in the Lore of that magic, here's a webpage that covers -some- superstitions. Keep in mind, every one has different lores here, I've discovered that in -my- book a candle that sputters blue flame is unsettled psychic energy. Could be yours, or other I suppose... Since on this webpage it states that blue flame represents a spirit in the room.
Similarly, which is something like what you described, "A tall straight flame on a candle during a seance is a sign that a spirit is present."
Maybe you were being called to God, and to protect yourself from something?

See, they are similar... But different.
Candle Lore (http://www.magick7.com/candle/candle-magick.htm)
And another, for comparisons sake.
Mojo Motion (http://www.mojomoon.net/candlsup.html)

(Edit: And I think everything like this should be interpreted with optimism. No need for paranoia if you're doing nothing you disapprove of.)

Hey,
I don't know didly about candle magick. I did some reading on it and they have diffrent colors for what not. I do rememeber two instances where something mysterous has occured. My first (and only) time ever useing a ouiji board. It was my "friend" connie's she set up candles all arround it, and then placed wax on the center of the board, to 'block out the evil' we stared doing the whateveritiscalled, but before we really got started one of the candles burned out. *shrug* curious. The spirit we contacted that night claimed to be 'zeta' What ealse, OH, Connie started to scrape the wax off beucase it was 'blocking the spirit from comming through' Interesting, woudlnt that mean that its bad since the was was suposed to block bad spirits? oh well. Nothing bad happened so ok.

Second time... some weeks later
Connie had a candle that was danceing arround She tried to calm it but was unable. I put my hands arround the sides, feeling rather calm myself, then the candle calmed down... I removed my hands and the candle stayed calm. Had the disturbance been caused by air currents, woudlnt the candle have gone back to danceing? *shrug* Connie and I were both kind of amazyed.
I wonder whatever happened to her anyways...
Havnt seen or heard from her in like almost 5 years.

I've just recently become really interesed in candles. So..nothing interesting has happend to me. I don't really pay attention to them usually.

However, I do have a candle in a jar burned down over 3/4 that dances like crazy while the others out in the open sit still. I think that's weird. lol.

Ok, SO! Im not crazy!
The other day, When I was asking something of the Goddess, I was actually asking for help finding a Job that will support us. Well, I felt something like...warm just wrap itself around me, which is odd because my house is usually freezing. (Old). Well, I asked aloud "If the Goddess can hear me, show me in the candles". Nothing happened. Finally like two minutes later, my main altar candle (the one I use every time I do something with my altar) started going insane! The warmth just got like..warmer, and the flame kept jumping. I felt it as a sign...most definitly! I know that sometimes, spirits find some very obvious ways to communicate- obvious to them ,but we study things to much and half of the time never catch things that they are trying to tell us eh?
Blessed Be!
