My brother broke his hand on 27th November 2005, but I'm having trouble finding this in the chart, can anyone spot something?
25th September 1980, 17:53, Leeds - England.
The only exact aspect on that day was transiting Venus in Capricorn (Saturn-ruled=bones) square to his natal Moon. His natal Saturn (bones) is in Venus-ruled Libra, so Venus transits *may* trigger bone issues like breakages - but it's a bit of a long shot!

you also have to remember that not everything that happens in your life will have an astrological signature to it. If the event doesn't have a significant impact on your life or doesn't have the impact at that moment in time, it won't show at that time.
The best example that comes to mind was a story of one woman who was going through a group of psycological problems because of the loss of her father, who had died a few years before hand. At the time of his death, there were no astro signatures in her chart showing that he would've died. It was a few years later that the signatures showed and she actual began the grieving process.
There's a good chance that this really isn't that important to your brother's soul.
The best that I could see was that your brother's 12th house cusp was only a few degrees off of being midpoint between transiting Uranus and transiting Sun (which is conjunct to progressed Mars), who were square to each other.

Hi Eternally,
A horoscope is like a weather report. It is possible to see the storms but not so easy to see the specific damages caused by the storm.

Thanks for your replies.
A square between Venus (3rd) and Moon (5th) would possibly show the accident while quadbiking??
Yeah, that would work! :)
I understand what you're saying valkie, but there's not been any (or hardly any) event that hasn't showed up in the chart. To me it's a language which is created from the time cycles of the chart (calender). Every aspect shows something internal or external, just no certainty on what event out of the possible combinations will take place.
So while Mars square venus has something relating to Mars/venus and/or house placement, you're not really sure what mars/venus/house placement issue will be at hand, until it arrives.
So, I suppose you can say that I see astrology as pre-determined, but only relating to the points at hand. the point at hand is brought about by our own choice in the matter. Free-will and pre-determination in one big tin for ya!
I'd go along with that, too - I think any event that occurs shows up in the chart, but a chart pattern is a one-to-many relationship: that Venus/Moon square could show up in a number of equally valid ways; the way it actually panned out was with a hand injury while taking part in his hobby. It's arguable that it could have played out in some other way instead, in which case we'd have looked at that different event and said "ah, that's the Venus/Moon square".
