Which is more favorable?1

Ignoring other factors in a person's horoscope or birthchart, which is a more favorable position:
Neptune in Virgo in the 6th house or
Neptune is Pisces in the 6th house?

Neptune's rulership is Pisces, and its debilitation is Virgo. All this means is that the Pisces personality or "energy" expects certain situations in life to occur while Neptune (occupying that sign or some other sign) brings about those situations. So, neither one is more favorable than the other? I'm confused because on one hand, Pisces goes with Neptune but neither w/ the 6th house. On the other hand Virgo goes w/ the 6th house but neither w/ the planet Neptune. Would you think that either situation is about equal?

Mhrtwll, I believe that your conclusions are basically correct. For starters, the 6th Tropical house is not angular, and therefore not of much significance compared with the 7th house, the descendant. However, unless one sees the chart you are refering to, it is difficult to ascertain Neptune's influence there and on other elements of the nativity.

Every placement has it's own favorable/unfavorable value to the person. Neptune is the energy and possibility one has to work with and either Pisces or Virgo the sign placement is the "how" of these energies.
One's free will and use of these either will show how favorable the position is to the person's who's chart is being studied.
