What is the most inner quality that a witch (or other practitioner) needs to develop in order to be an effeciant practitioner? My own thoughts would be a sense of peace or inner stillness (at one ment). I'm curious what others might think.

inner peace is a good answer... My initial thoughts were along the lines of a great degree of self-awareness and mindfulness, getting a certain kind of objectivity about one's actions and where one stands in relation to everything else. Psychological self-analysis, I think, is very important. It's far easier to make changes in one's life when one can see the root of the problem... ^_^

Your thoughts are almost exactly what I think inner peace is to me. It's the balance between being control by emotions and being without emotions, the objectivity of ones action, and where one stands in relation to everything else. My point of differing is that I don't think self-analysis is almost useless.

Let me try to put it in words (it's all a jumbled mass in my brain.) I think as people we are all a mass of other people's opinions of ourself. Since we were tots, other peoples opinions were stuffed into our heads. I have a feeling that it's so deeply ingrained in us that self-analysis is pretty useless. I think we need to drop all of those opinions and feelings about ourself before we can be useful. Drop it all, see what's there, and continue on.

I dunno if that explains it. It's hard to get out of my mind.

I would say that inner peace is a result of developing the inner quality of patients.

Most inner quality? Self-knowledge. It requires sense, perception, analysis, memory, wisdom, predictions, outlook, it leads to balance, self-control, and finally results in achieving one's goals.

I think an exploration and an understanding of self is crucial to developing yourself spiritually
